San Antonio Community! ( Question!! )
While I agree it’s all about consistency, I think that having a meet every week gets stale. Perhaps it should be once or twice a month. Also, I don’t mind coming to the meets on a regular basis.
But what I can’t stand is when people grossly overstate the anticipated number of cars. I have personally experienced this several times and it’s frustrating to me when I have cancelled plans to attend "a large Evo meet of 12 to 15 cars", only to find out there is only 2 evos at the meet. This is why I don’t attend these meets as much as I used to.
This is just my .02

Just wanted to add that I would favor a bi-weekly meet...it wouldn't get as redundant....But weekly works too as long as the participation is there, but then of course you will have the occasional 4-5 car showing because it is too frequent.

I think the last time you went was when it was cold as hell outside and as a result every meet suffered that week and weeks. At every meet, not just this one, I'm sure anticpation is high for the amount of cars showing up, as it should be. But the fact of the matter is...it's just speculation. Rather than having an attitude of, ah hell with it, think optimistically or call someone that is most likely there. Another problem I see is the time. Yea we know saturday nights and the location, but what I feel happens is people will roll in around 7:30-8..you know typical SA car meet time. When the most of us don't show up until 9:30...so obviously the early birds leave cause who's going to hang around a parking lot by themselves. So as previously posted by Sti300whp...this is a later meet, not one that happens with the sun out

Back on track with the thread, it may be helpful to have an established meeting time for the Saturday meets.
Yea joah, I'm tracking with what you're saying..that's not cool to be told there are X amount of cars somewhere, then showup to find Y amount....I'll say a good time to show up there would be at 9:30.
J8 - how'd the 2J swap go in your is350?

Yeah...X amount of cars minus 10 is never cool...but enough of that stuff. I think you are right about showing up around 10pm.
I do like the change in performance of my car. Precision R did an outstanding job as usual. I feel very fortunate to have them in the same town.

Yeah, sorry john.... wrong day wrong number. And not the right thing to do to you in underestimating the amount. For instance, last weekend we did have a good amount I'm not going to say how much but at least 10 cars out there. If saturday is a bad day maybe we can do another meet during the week? I don't know... but we definitely need a cruise going on b/c there are just too many evo's in town to not take advantage of a cruise.
No worries Alvaro...It's just a little fusterating, that's all.
Anyhow, Saturdays work for me, but maybe we should post the event info here on the forums to gauge interest. I can usually make it out but I just need a few days notice.
What do you think guys? What would be the best time, day, and location if you had your choice for a monthly Evo meet? Let's try and get something that works for the majority.

I am going to miss all of you guys it has been a lot of fun. I have met a lot of great people here. I just can not pass up this job. The only new rule I have to follow in Kentucky is no river trips with friends. I saw the movie Deliverance to many times.
We were playing a joke on A.
