Theres a pretty good meet at AMC off of I-10 and Huebner tonight on Thursdays at around 10. Ill be in WW Evo 8 say whats up if you see me.

why doesnt anyone go to biffs off 35 and topperwien its bad *** there are all kinds of exotic cars and evos and stis ?

People still meet up? I thought san antonio's scene died out already.

 

tonight....1604/281 HEB lot @ 830...we usually get a good showing of evos/stis, etc.

 

Cool when are other meets? I cant make it tonight.

 

Hopefully it's better than last weekend. I went at 9 and there were only two evos (no sti's) and they were talking about leaving.

 

any evos around 281 n bitters? just got an evo and dont know but 3 buddies with evos.

 

It's all about consistency guys... we have had up to 7 Evo's at 1604 and 281 at the HEB parking lot and up to 5 or 6 STi's, with GTO's, trans ams, corvettes, 350Z's, etc... but people gotta show up every week to see the results. Most of the weekends we at least have 10 cars but it is a late night meet... so if you don't like late night meets this one is not for you.

 

Well put....Consistent participation and organized behavior is key in keeping meets alive. I know that's a hard to thing to do here in San Antonio where the scene is a bit on the weak side...but hopefully I get proven wrong. We'll know this meet has become a success when rides from Austin,Dallas want to come down and see what we've got.

While I agree it’s all about consistency, I think that having a meet every week gets stale. Perhaps it should be once or twice a month. Also, I don’t mind coming to the meets on a regular basis.

But what I can’t stand is when people grossly overstate the anticipated number of cars. I have personally experienced this several times and it’s frustrating to me when I have cancelled plans to attend "a large Evo meet of 12 to 15 cars", only to find out there is only 2 evos at the meet. This is why I don’t attend these meets as much as I used to.
