iodine,
Thanks a lot for the tips. I've never driven most of those (though I live really close to 2222 & 620). Will definitely have to try them out. Thanks again...

Also on the Westlake/Redbud map is Mt Bonnell Rd. It's on the east side of the lake. I remember that being pretty fun to drive too. I've only done it a few times to get to Mt. Bonnell, but holy crap that things has a lot of direction and elevation changes. It's south off 2222 west of Mesa, before the twisties heading down to 360.

May I recommend going "not quite as fast as you'd like" on Mt. Bonnell. For one thing, more and more cops over there, I've noticed (or I'm just so unlucky to be there when cops are having meets ) and also, there's one hairpin that's a major beeatch if a minivan or other large vehicle cuts the apex ever so slightly since you can't see down it very well. Other than that, Mt. Bonnell offers that nice parking area to get good group photos.

Space Monkey: You looking for Mt Bonnell? It's south off 2222 between 360 and Mopac. It's east of the twisties, in the hilly section. There should be a sign for it, it's pretty popular. It's also cool to park there and go up and see the city and lake from there.

I second that... there is no way you can safely drive "fast" there. There are houses, its a 30mph zone. Its nice just to drive by though, and 10 mph turn means 10. Everyone gets caught off guard on that hairpin.

My favorite drive and best bet is past Volente, no need to go fast in the turns: elevation changes in those sharp turns...try it at night, its "eery". Just be careful...trees don't like brand new evo cars wrapped them.

Thanks Iodine23 for the info.

Ooooh RPM, I like the short track. I can't figure the long track out.

I think I have plans with my woman tonight. We'll see.
