HKS F-CON V-PRO Texas Tuners and Users
Fact is it blows away the stock ecu for high powered cars. If you are making 300hp who cares what you use.
In a higher HP car where the accuracy of the mapping and the RPM range become important it works extremely well.
Remember stock ec with maf over 450hp becomes a hack, they are tuning you over that point on only the last load range. But of course it "cheaper".

Man this sucks.
Is the HKS F-CON that new in the market that no one is really using it? I am surprised that there are not more people using it, considering it's benefits and advantages. The last thing I need is to get something like an AEM EMS that will fail emissions. By the way, thanks for the feedback and referrals. I'll check them out.

Of course anyone who cannot access it gives you the sour grapes thing.
High quality, high reliability ecu. High resolution, speed density etc. Nitrous control antilag, 2 step whatever you need to go racing these days.

But I will very soon, today actually
. It should be noted that Kenny has had my car done several times actually. I just can't leave well enough alone. My car sat at Kingpin for almost 6 months because they couldn't figure out how to install a turbo kit and meth injection. Kenny got my car running great, and then I told him to take it all apart and we started from scratch. Then the turbo went which was sortof a fluke, and garret being the nice company they are told me to **** off. Then my 2.5 month wait for a tre tranny.
But back on topic, I would shy away from the vpro unless you have someone close to you that's a HKS pro dealer. My car seems to run well with it though, and cold startups are great. As silly as it is, after reading people's reviews of the vpro, thats the only reason I got it instead of an Aem. Since Jotech has had my car putting the finishing touches on it, Kenny has spent some time tuning it and it's made a real difference. The last time it was on the dyno he never had a chance to finish the tune since the i/c pipe kept blowing off. It starts up real nice now, much better than alot of AEM equipped cars I've seen.
With all that said, I'd take alot of people advice and just stick with the stock ecu. Do that untill who ever is tuning it tells you that you've reached it's limitation. I promise it'll never happen unless you go bigger than a 35r, and it takes alot of mods to max even that turbo out. I've been blown away to see the power people make and still have thier maf in place. And as far as map switching goes, Gabe's car runs a stock ecu and meth and all he does is hits a button on his ebc and that's it. Isn't there a way to tune the stock ecu to recognize when you're in high boost. I'm no expert and its been a while since I've done any research on the stock ecu, but I know dynoflash does it with every tune, as do many others.
Man this post has gotten alot longer than I intended. One more thing about the vpro though. While I dont have the ability to switch maps, all I do to for race gas is turn up the boost, and yes you can pass emissions with it. It keeps the stock ecu intact for some basic functions. I hope some of my rambling has helped a little.
