Performance shop in Austin??..

Hello guys ..

Officially moved to ATX...very happy

Lately, I had some troubles with my Buick GN ( I know this is an Evo forum but hey thought I might try). I am looking for a shop that can do some diagnotics and is domestic friendly, Any pointers?? I am new to ATX and I need someone who I can trust with my car.

I know about MZM but they mostly do imports and are expensive (I heard)

Thanks for the help in advance..

Oh ...I tried a GN forum...no use...they are a bunch of old men who like to get down and dirty all the time...I wish I had the time.

Man, I would try A.R.T. (American Racing Technology) in Buda...Ive been there a while back and they sure have some experience. 512-312-2258 or 866-313-RACE. www.americanracingtech.com

yes they are. might be worth a try, but then again they probably aren't as domestic friendly as he's looking for.

Thank you guys for the responses...Now I think I need an engine rebuild ...Its stock and it served well (100+ K miles)..but hey Ill look at the good side ...now I can go with a stroker ...it was running very low 11s with the stock motor and a god knows from where turbo.

Could ART build engines?? I see they mostly do turbo ans S/C installs.. judging from the website I don't think they build engines.

Ill call tomorrow...I live in Buda and they are very close...Now that I know I want to build the block I think I should go with someone specialized in GNs...and I do not mind shipping it...hmmm...I know Houston and Dallas has some great shops but I have no experience with them...they call them " The big boys"

Hey got me to thinking....try these guys...http://www.cartech.net/products.htm. Cartech---is owned by Corky Bell...he has done a lot with turbos since the '70's. and have even written a few books..He is in San Antonio...but I'll bet he could fix you up...check it out.
