Methanol
So in reference to the comment by "SlowCar" about being cautious of buying methanol from an open drum... (same pump aslo used for racing fuel)...
So, so if there is a bit of racing fuel accidentally mixed in to the methanol.. what's the worst that would happen? So you shoot a little bit of (residual I might add) racing fuel into the intake. I can't see how that would hurt anything.

-valves in shurflo pumps to swell
-seals in solenoid valves to swell...
and in higher concentrations, degrade and fail prematurely
why take the risk
