Methanol injection: C16 instead of methanol??
I just was pondering a few things last night as I was relaxing.
For people that use methanol injection, would there be more power potential by spraying C16 instead of methanol?
for example, running daily with pump 93 + C16 race gas...

I could be wrong but I think there is more power to be had with meth.
Just think about the running solely on that fuel, meth or c16. Think about how fast the cars are that run on c16 and then think about how slow they look compared to cars running on pure methanol.
If you could run more power on c16, AMS probably would have done it already.

The gains may be less or more slightly but in the end for the possible slight increase isn't worth it in cost. THe c16 goes for around 9 a gallon give or take where you go, where a meth is only a few bucks a gallon.

The C16 has nowhere near the cooling proporties of meth. It would be like mixing in two gallons of C16 with your full tank of gas. not a bad question but nowhere near the HP potential.

The point of spraying meth isn't the same idea behind running c-16. C-16 is just a high octane race fuel which allows you to run more agressive maps because it burns slower. Meth cools down the intake charge thus allowing you to still run more timing because your charge doesn't come to knocking temperatures as soon.
www.VPracingfuels.com look up the MS 109. Call them, give them your zip code, and they will tell you who sells it in your area.
