the regular stuff tim...movies club drinking...it's an okay city i guess, i lived here all my life, new orleans that is.

and for car club i don't know. i'm not in any except with my friends called BushBurner...hahahha

 

I'm not familiar with any car clubs around here in BR... not saying they don't exist, just I haven't noticed any well organized ones.

There is a pretty nice track between N.O. and BR called No Problem Raceway... 1/4 mile, road course and then some. Probably would be a good place to start out if your intrested in possibly finding a local club. They have SCCA events, plus other things, there.

One thing is for sure, its nice to know that there are some locals here in LA that know and respect what the Evo is about .

BTW, do any of you guys know anyone with an AWD dyno here in LA? I only know of one dyno at Thunder Racing (mustang/camaro shop) in BR... and its not AWD.

I live in Chalmette (suburb of New Orleans) and own a yellow EVO (I'm the winner of the Mitsubishi website sweepstakes). My husband and I have met 2 local EVO owners, one is a red one, one silver, and have got together with one of the owners a couple times. We have been going to the local cruise nights, and will probably try to get an informal group together.

WELL ANY WAY I LIVE IN ALEXANDRIA WHICH IS A COUPLE OF HOURS AWAY BUT IM IN BR AREA QUITE OFTEN. I HAVE A WHITE EVO WITH LITTLE DONE RIGHT KNOW . CANT WAIT TILL AFTER NOPI. i know there is a dyno in hammond, LA... but i don't know if it is AWD or not. I'll get some more info on it and post it here.

If you all decide to have a meet or something let me know, i work with a guy that has a blue evo8 and he might be interested in coming. Also if you wouldn't mind a ES lancer mixing things up i'm in LA all the time and would be down for maybe some track time or whatever.

Well.. I'm happy to inform I got my Evo.

I got the white one from Levis here in town Monday afternoon. So atleast now you'll have some company down here RaleighEVOVIII when you come down .
