Possibly Moving to baton rouge..

Im currently Living up here in NC right now, but may be moving to baton rouge in the next 6months-year to be with my girl... I was just wondering if there is any EVO owners in the area and if you all get together at all. Also is there any good quality car clubs in the area ?

Heya.. I'm here in Baton Rouge, but don't have my evo yet. The local Mitsu dealer here in BR has maybe sold a total of 3 or 4 evos.. and I know 2 of them were to the same guy according to their sales manager (he totaled one). I think 2 of the 3 guys wern't local either. I've only seen one evo in the wild here, a sliver one.

So not many Evo owners here, most people here don't even know what they are . Sorry, not a big evo population here yet. There are probably some near by though in the New Orleans area though.

Yeah, actually planning to do the deed in the next 2 weeks, knock on wood . I was actually at the dealer here in BR today scoping out the mileage on a white one in their show room. 4.5 on the Odo works for me.

There are a lot of mitsu dealers here in LA in about a 75 mile radius from BR. I know of 12 evos between 4 dealers. And there are still 2 to 3 more I have not even called or visited. With this many evos between this many dealers.. its a good area to find a really good price. And like I said before, no one knows what the car is... and the dealers (except for the one here in BR) can't move them .

So by the time you get here, they'll atleast be 2 evo owners . And you will deffinately get your stares I'm sure. The import scene is a little behind here in BR, but in nearby New Orleans and especially Lafayette its decently big.

Hey I got a WRX and looking to buy an EVO. I live in kenner and work in baton rouge and I don't think the LA dealers are really moving these cars at all. Levis keeps bugging me wants me to come down and buy one of theirs. I will just bide my time and when they really need to get rid of them I'll be all over them.

LoL.. small world . Thats the only white one I know of that doesnt have OVER 100 miles on at from the dealerships I've visited... maybe white is the official test drive vehicle here?

Needless to say, the dealers here like to give test drives and what not, except Levis . Probably part of the reason they can't move them at certain dealerships.

You haven't checked out Bryan or Premier in Metarie and NO?

LoL... I test drove that same yellow Evo. I just went around the block though. The sales people are cool at Bryan, atleast the one I had. I don't know anything about their service department though and how they behave.

They gave me quotes on paper from Bryan for 100 over invoice and at Levis in Baton Rouge a quote from the Sales manager of invoice. He said and I quote " they basically are going to give it to you at 100 over invoice, I am not married to it I will give it to you at invoice." All remains to be seen as soon as I actually sign papers.
