Best deal in Houston on Evo?

Close on the new house next week and the deal with the wife is that she gets a new house and I get a new Evo. So, after my finances settle down from the shock of buying the house I will be looking for an Evo (6 - 8 weeks probably). I looked at one at Gilman and they had all sorts added on such as paint protection, engraving, pit pass, etc. How easy are they to deal with? If I have to goutside Houston to get a deal then I'm game for that. Thanks in advance.

Up here in the DFW area, most all dealers are fighting for your dollars at just over invoice pricing.

I'm over here in the Austin area and I got mine for 30,319 out the door(tax, title, and license included). I worked with 2 different Gillman dealerships and was overall unimpressed. You should be able to get a good deal in the Houston area. All those added extras are unnecessary. I did some researching prior to dealing and it made a world of difference, I actualy walked away with the car for below invoice price. If you want the info I had as far as negotiating the price PM me and I'll send you the links.

I am looking for one in the Austin area. I have been talking to the Gillman dealer here and they quoted $500 over invoice. All of their cars had the protection package and pin-striping (which I told them I didn't want). Do you think I could do better? I am willing to go to Houston or DFW if it would save some cash.

absinthe: I talked with someone yesterday that said both Gillman and Town North are quoting him invoice price on the Evo. That was with no haggling. He said the guy at Gillman even offered to work on the dealer holdback, too.

I don't know what Barrett is doing right now... I had a bad purchasing experience there and would suggest avoiding them. They're probably still charging a markup.

Paid 31,322 out the door at McGinnis on I-10 with the phat spoiler and no sunroof. Fair enough to deal with but nothing special. They had to get the car from Gillman. They also have a red one that they have had on the lot for 1 month or so that they might be willing to deal.... but dont come back and tell us you got it for 29 out the door

Not to ruin the party, but I paid $29k for mine with Sunroof and Spoiler. Find a dealer with a couple of them on the lot and don't be afraid to walk.

i got my Evo at gillman mitsu on beltway8 and 59 for $28,900 out the door. Silver with spoiler, no sunroof.

Talk to Art Clark

You will definately get an evo for invoice at the time of this year. They will fight for your business.

Call them first and make it clear..... you will only go in if they sell you the car at invoice price. Worked for me.

Out-the-door = after all taxes and fees.

So is that $28,900 including all taxes, fees, and no downpayment?

Gillman North sucks. They are really sluggish with their service department, like they want to avoid all warranty work, at all costs. They'll make up excuses and bs just to get you back out of their department, or get tired of them.
