the suction cup is fine, it's the part with the ball at the camera end... it wobbles around. I've tried all sorts of things and I think it's just broked now.

I would suggest a non-gooseneck camera mount such as the cleat by Wood's Powr-Grip. It's designed to support up to 10 pounds and it has very good reviews.
