I agree... working on trying to find something centrally located, but car friendly right now.

Just wondering is this a non-alcoholic BBQ? It will be nice if we can have some

Finding a place that allows alcohol is difficult...

OK I have found the PERFECT place. Check the first post.

I mean seriously... no $10 entry fee, beer/wine/champaign is allowed (no glass containers), pets on leashes allowed, private parking lot, restroom right there...

Unfortunately it is 35 miles or so from Lynn Creek Park, but I think it's a much better location!

It's further for some people. The Metro-mess is too big to please everyone

We haven't signed any papers or put any money down, so if you know of someplace else, we are still open to changes!!!

well i like the place you have picked out, but here are some other places i know of:

cedar hill state park (cedar hill of joe pool... state park pass required)
river legacy park (free entry, dogs allowed, plenty of parking, BBQ pits, i don't think alcohol is allowed though)
grapevine lake, rock ledge park i think, parking is tight if it is busy, plenty of BBQ places, dogs allowed, and i know i've had alcohol out there before, but i don't know if it was actually allowed or not. this would be the best place for a group photo shoot over the lake. parking and park access is free.
