"10/26 NTEC Picnic/BBQ -- BE THERE"
I'm checking on the parking on Friday. I honestly think that that will be the deciding factor in locations.
Personally I don't care if other cars show up, as long as they are out of the shot when we take pictures. Now I don't want hundreds of clapped out dsms and civics rolling up, but if your friends and family want/need to come in separate cars, have them come on out. Heck, I might have to bring two cars simply from a timing perspective.
As far as the money and partaking on at the level of what you brought? One side of me agrees, but honestly I want no excuses for people to not come. Everyone is in a different financial situation these days, and for some people the cost of gas and $10 worth of cokes is all they can afford. I want them to be able to come out and enjoy themselves and have a good time with their fellow Evo owners. Some people like me (and JDW apparently with the awesome list of goodies he's volunteered) have had a good year and can afford to be generous.
My main goal is to get everyone together for a good afternoon. Don't feel like because you can't or don't want to bring something that you can't come.
Now I'd like it if everyone pitched in and brought something (heck, even a bag of ice or a bag of chips, there's enough of us that if everyone spent $5 we'd have a pretty nice spread!)... but I know the reality is that not everyone can or wants to.

+ 1 on all of this. Very well said. Aniel let me know if you want to ride along with us.
Can't wait, just 2+ weeks away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Goofy,
If you really wanted to get nasty on the washers, this could help:

But of course you could always build one, let me know cause I got a buddy who could easily build one for cheap.

Oh that ain't right!
My neighbors have a washers set that they built. I'll ask if I can borrow it (I'm sure I can -- as long as their kids haven't destroyed it).

Goofy,
You make me laugh!!!!!!!!!! "Oh that ain't right"
Well let me know ASAP if the neighbors washer pit will allow you to use theirs, so I can get started building ours. I've always wanted to build one anyway, this just gives me the excuse to do it.
Our last building project was a boombox to float down the Guadalupe River, 7 speakers powered off one head unit, octagon shaped.
Which reminds me, should someone bring a small radio or Ipod boombox?

We have to be careful with music. Most of the places talk about no blaring radios...
My neighbors took a cooler and put speakers, battery, headunit and satellite radio in it. Pretty nifty!

That would work fine... they just don't want people going with big PA systems or running their car stereos on "wake the neighborhood" if you know what I mean!
