just got off the phone with Billy Young Mitsubishi in Killeen, TX.

they guy darren over there seemed pretty educated about the evo and even said that he expects printed information about the car in by july. he also guesses about 3 to 4 cars that his dealership will get but that guess is as good as anybodys.

ok now to the good part...apparently i was the first person to inquire about the evo which put me first on the waiting list. he said they wont start taking deposits until mitsu confirms the price and options but he guarenteed me that his dealership wouldn't sell them above msrp.

i told him i know a few people in texas would love to know about his dealership and he gave me some contact info...

Join the club they told me the same **** about 6 weeks ago. I am supposed to be the first on the list. They told me they would call me as soon as they can accept deposits also.

They would not confirm MSRP pricing when I talked to them.

yeah i did but when i replied it bounced back...

basically it just said that maxwell mitsubihi is the devil and are gonna basically auction off the 4 they are getting. i emailed them about getting a car for msrp and they replied with...

'THE EVO WILL BE SOLD AT WELL OVER MSRP' ...caps and all.

every other dealer besides billy young arent gonna sell the car for less than 1000$ over msrp.

i really hope the killeen dealership follows through with their promise since it was only a verbal one. personally i dont care what number i am on the list as long as i get one at msrp.

I talked to that Gillman Mtisu in the north (45/beltway) and talked to a salesperson called Hung Le. He put my name down as the "1st" (I wonder if that true) person on the list. The won't take deposit until MSRP is out.

Don't go to the Gillman at Bellaire, they SUCK!!!
