I did a few years at Ft. Riley, KS. Just east of Salina. Didn't care much for it either. Almost seems like you back in time a little.....

I just used the four suction cups and placed in the lower right hand corner of my wind shield. I have been running that for over a year, and I havent been messed with yet. Knock on wood! I also spoke to a state trooper, and was told that as long as the vehicle has a plate somewhere visible in the front, then it is legal. I guess it all depends if the cop is having a bad day to go and harass someone about it.

That was the same thing I was doing for the longest and I wasn't getting messed with until lately, mainly by DPS out in BFE. The law states the plate has to be on the front most part of the car. The windshield is not the front most part, but shows something and as you put it, depends how the cop feels that day if he wants to pull you over. Also, on the third warning, they have to cite you now. I ignored it until I got the fix-it-ticket. I had two prior warnings. The DPS that gave it to me was cool about. I was 195 and he said he doesn't like given soldiers tickets. He let me go on the speeding, but since it was my third offense, he had to write up the front plate.

The fix-it-ticket is just send a picture showinh it mounted and $10 to settle out of court and no mark. I just got tired of getting pulled over for it so I mounted it.
