ya playing with the keyboard is the suck. I use up to accelerate, right and left to turn and space to brake.

If you hold space to slow down, it locks up the brakes (bad), so you have to hold then tap (like abs). And since the gas is on/off you need to learn to modulate it.

Analog controls would help a whole lot!

My best lap times are:
POS FWD car: 1:45
BMW F1 car: 1:23

ya Ive been playing LFS for over 3 years now. I never bought the game. trhe demo was good enough to me but then they took out the turbo rx7 in the demo now I dont play.

 

I just may have to download that and see what I can do...

I just downloaded it last night. I agree the "digital" accelerator and brakes are super tough to modulate. There is a lot of tapping when braking and accelerating to prevent spinning out. I think the analog controls could shave a decent amount of time off. Plus the mouse is also a bit tough to steer with. I may have to get a wheel for this.

As for my best time so far.. having only downloaded last night...



Lets see what you all can do. I'll be posting a faster time in the near future as I get used to controls...

Yes of course. I don't think I did any better than 1:45 in the FWD hatch either. Maybe I'll revisit it though.

The server idea sounds like a great idea. I have a nice high-speed commection here -- I just need a system to host it on. I'll see what I can scrounge up.

 

I just ran a 1:40.67 with the FWD hatchback. I'll post a picture if you want proof!
