I had an ACT in my VIII and it was still perfect after 42k miles of driving and serveral track events. I think TTP has a modded ACT clutch that will prevent "lock out" which was my only complaint about the ACT.

A twin is an awesome clutch, but not very DD friendly... especially in stop and go traffic. I had a tilton twn in my STI and man was that a bear to drive in traffic, not to mention the rattling. I ended up switching to an ACT.

There is someone selling a Fidanza 3.2 clutch NIB in the regional for sale forum for $450.

dude! my act 6 puck is crazy! holds great but really rough engagement. I can deal with it cause i like that kind of thing(i like it rough) but it might bother you in traffic. the HD plate is pretty cheap and the 6 puck has a 100 or more torque rating and cost less than the street disc.

edit: i think it comes out to 641 tq rating.
its supposed to be very durable for launching and best for road racing.

Keep it coming. I also would like to see more of your opinion. I have an Exedy twin carbon waiting. But afraid I might break something down the line since I like to drag.

thanks for the input guys this is very helpfull stuff. and thatnks to ttp for their interest in the matter. i have sent them a pm regarding my goals.

i guess i could refine my question even further: i like to drag so i want something that will hold up for the slips. i attend as many events as possible as well as my local track. so it will be abused atleast 3 weekends outa the month. i am still on stock turbo with minor bolt-ons along with cams and a nice tune from kevin d on race gas.

We got you covered. Kevin D is also a great asset to his fellow Texans.
