Boost leak test help in Austin?

Anyone know where I can possibly get a boost leak test done around town? I would normally hit up Zeus or Meld, but both are busy.

Any suggestions? I would really appreciate it.

see how to forums, and get 10 bucks together and find a buddy with a compressor with high output(air carry cans dont pack anough punch to do the job). take off the timing cover and turn the crankshaft till both cams line up at TDC. attatch leak tester(from how-to forums), pressurize, and listen

ive had a couple occurences where the vacuum/boost lines near sharp objects in the engine bay have come in contact with the radiator and some other sharp spots and found small holes that cause massive leaking. autozone/oreillys/napa all have vacuum hose if you can find a hole by looking.

The only problem is that Zeus and Meld are the two people with testers and compressors lol

bummer, in the meantime it wont hurt to go make a tester for yourself though...i did it and its very easy. then swing by a town tire shop(privately owned) and use their air compressor. there are plenty of places willing to help trust me. plus you can rent it out to your friends...lol, or even sell a boost leak test to them, just have them meet you at the tire shop ....seriously

Yeah, I hear ya. I'd still like to see if there are other local options. I appreciate your suggestion though.

No luck yet, I may look up a friend in San Antonio if I go this weekend, I plan on calling him tomorrow. Do let me know if you find yours though, I'd appreciate it!
