I have been PMing DynoFlash back and forth for about the past hour asking some questions. The possibility of a DynoFlash dyno day session was actually proposed by DynoFlash themselves. It looks like they are willing to head out to Dallas if we could get 10 people commited for a reflash. This is a preliminary feeler for now just to see what kind of intrest is shown, but I do know that these guys are serious about promoting their product and so are willing to take the flight down here as I pointed out to them that a drive to Conneticut is a little out of the way for us. I am going to find out what it would cost to rent out a dyno here in the Dallas are for a day as there are two different places to try. Once I find out the price I can start to get an idea of where we are in that regaurd, and if the intrest is shown I will then work out a price with DynoFlash. I think that this looks like it would be benificial even if someone was thinking about useing a piggy back computer in conjunction with the flash as Al did, it would allow a custom tune to your particular car at which time the factory fuel cutoff could be taken out, the RMP limit raised and many more things optimised for your particular setup. (please correct me if I am wrong DynoFlash) For now lets just see if we can get a head count of who would be interested and we will proceed from ther.

 

I'd be interested depending on date and pricing if he is manipulating boost...

 

I will try and find out a price to rent the dyno tomorrow. He said that he can make the boost taper slowly or hold to redline so I guess that he can!

After seeing how 3 modified evos fared on the dyno yesterday with the flash - we feel every evo needs a unique map and this is the only way to get the kind of quality tune and driveability feel we want

10 Evos is a joke in Central Texas (too many here)... In Austin that would only consist of one neighborhood. I'm not so sure about "up" in Dallas. Problem in Austin is there is only one AWD dyno... I've been told by MZM that they want to get into the reflashing game, so they don't want competition on their dyno . How soon would this thing kick off in Dallas?

 

Hey Zeus, I went to talk to Alamo Autosports in Arlington today and should know a bit more on Monday, but it looks good from there perspective from what I could tell. I was thinking early to mid November, but I am open to suggestions. Talk to some of the guys that you know in Austin and see if there is any intrest. The sooner we can show that some people are serious about doing this then the sooner we can get things rolling. I am pretty sure Evo Rosso wouldn't be interested though as he will be in Houston this weekend getting his own thing done!

I am available anytime the dyno shop can give me a solid 12 hours - - except thanks giving week

I'm ready to roll - we've done over 30 evos without a glitch with our reflasher and the tunes are all working out 100% !!!!

All right, I have talked to Brice at Alamo Autosports and we can get his DynoJet for a day, so all is good there. I need to have 8 people who are down solid and can pay. As soon as we get this then Al has said that he is free any weekend but Thanksgiving, so we can try and get a dat down. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am kind of suprized at the lack of responce from the Southern region, people are jumping all over this elsewhere around the country, the results that DynoFlash is getting are amazing! Just do a search under DynoFlash and you will see what I mean!
