Anyone have a downpipe install on their evo x in houston?

Hey all-

Recently picked up an AMS downpipe, and I'd like to get it installed soon, but I hear it's a real pain... so I don't really want to trust it to just anyone.

Has anyone had a dp installed at a shop in houston, or recommends a particular shop to do the work?

Thanks!

Its really not that bad, I did mine myself with just 4 jackstands. Just make sure you have a really long extension and a strong ratchet or breaker bar, 14mm bolts I think.

downpipe = easy.

o2 housing = royal PITB with cheese.

Soak those bolts in pb blaster overnight before attempting to even turn them any bit.

I sheared off two in the hotside when pulling it the third time (1st install, 2nd clutch, 3rd after it cracked to replace it).

Damn. I'll have to look into it I suppose... I don't have a great garage to work on the Evo.

For the love of Jebus... if you are going to pay someone, at least swing by Austin where I'll charge you probably half what a "shop" would.

I installed the ams dp in my driveway with 2 jackstands. I took my time and didn't break any bolts. It took about 6 hours total.

i went to rick's lonestar muffler in pasadena. they installed my d/p and t/p. with a lift and a very long extension for the socket, they had my d/p installed in about 10 minutes no broken bolts or anything sprayed on to help ease them off. this is about 9 months of daily driving it before i did this so maybe im lucky.
