MELLON TUNING (texas round 2) !!!!
Chris you're a great EFI tuner on evos... it'll just be a matter of software familiarity which Huy can assist w/ at Inline since he's a certified AEM tuner. You've helped us so much it would be the same thing

You hit the nail on the head Tom, once it's up and running it's no problem to tune with the AEM, I just don't have as much experience with the software so it takes me a minute to get familiar again. You're right, I'm sure Huy wouldn't mind giving me some pointers if I had a question, he's always been thankful for any tips I've given him.
I don't see how you could have a fail safe with it, just turn down the boost for when your on the 93 map. I switched my car to a hallman for the new setup.
i was too, when i had the stock turbo with the hallman, kevin had the failsafe set where if i were to turn off the meth or runs low or whatever then ill be running the wastegate setting which is like 11psi. thats what i need to do in order for me to get tuned by mellon.

a Hallman MBC is mechanical... u can't tell it to change boost or on/off w/out physically turning the knob. The failsafe that you have is probably built into a controller of some sort w/ the meth kit. Meaning it may interupt/bypass a boost signal spliced in from the wastegate to the MBC itself.

Just explaining that you can't "turn off" a MBC... its basically a 'mechanically controlled' leak. Only an electronic boost controller can turn off/on w/ an electronic signal. A MBC's "signal" is a pressure source. Unless you have the factory ECU controlling (electronically) a solenoid of sorts interupting a pressure source line to the wastegate (which then you dont need a MBC it would be ECU controlled boost).
Was wondering if this is still happening and did someone back out? I know there's only room for five but I would love to take advantage of this opportunity if presented. Can I get a pm with complete details if this is going to happen?
Chris,
just let me know any updates and i'll update the list. In fact i'm deleting the inital group now to start over.
