MELLON TUNING (texas round 2) !!!!
MELLON TUNING (texas round 2) !!!!
All:
We are seeking interest for anyone in the Texas area who is interested in having their evos tuned by Mellon Tuning. We had a great turn out last year at Inline Racing hosting this tuning session and we hope to have a better one this year. This will fall under a weekend where Inline will also host a dyno day for our 2wd friends. AWD Evos would be road tuned by Chris Turman (Mellon Tuning) throughout the day.
I believe some have changed mods/upgraded and others didnt make the cut-off and would like a 1st time tune. Either way, we got you covered.
Mellon Tuning is the best you are going to get w/ stock ECU tuning!!
Jump on the E85 bandwagon and get even better results!
Tunes are $400 each for a full custom tune by Chris (Mellon Tuning). We need to limit at 5 evos this time around since he can only be here for a weekend and he takes his time on each tune. Chris didnt want anymore than 5 max as this would take away from tuning quality/time. If you all confirm... we can agree on a date and hold it at Inline Racing again. Chris' airfare will need to be paid by the tuning group as usual. Those that have been tuned by him before can vouch that its more than worth it!
DATE IS SET!!! JULY 10th WEEKEND hosted by INLINE RACING, hou TX
Tentative List:
1) Boost Inspired - DEPOSIT PAID
2) T51r - DEPOSIT PAID (deposit bought from Anthony)
3) Younggindamix - DEPOSIT PAID
4)
5)

I has a spot with mellon from last time. If any would like to work out something to buy my spot. we can. Don't have an Evo any more and mellon suggested that someone can pay me the deposit and take my spot.
Thanks

works for me ^^
I want to remind everyone who is going to be tuned to read all of www.mellontuning.com to get familiar with the process and what you need to do before the tune to make sure we get great results. Make sure you have a wb02 and boost controller with gauges, I'm not bringing a wb02 and I don't use the ecu for boost control. You also need to zip tie ALL vacuum hoses, even the difficult to reach ones located on the side and back of the throttle body. I promise you will have a boost leak with raised boost, I've never had a car come to be tuned that didn't. You'll need to do a real pressure test with an air compressor to locate and fix all of the leaks. Eyeballing it will not work
If your car has mechanical issues and is throwing check engine lights these need to be addressed before the tune.
Make sure you send in your 150.00 deposit asap to secure your spot on the list. (see purchase page). Then e-mail chris@mellontuning.com with the information I need on the purchase page to let me know you're part of the Houston 5 to be tuned. Include your first and last name, evom username and phone number
Tom if we have more than 5 that want to be tuned let's put them down as alternates but they don't have to send a deposit. We'll need their contact info so we can reach them if some others don't show or I have more time than I anticipated.

2) alternates/backups... if you guys want to show on the list but no deposit until an opening presents itself... lemme know via PM and i'll add u in different color. Chris can note these and call u guys in the event someone drops out or he finds time to squeeze another. (youd be the next guy in line etc)

-------this is to the other 4 that are getting tuned with me, its says shooting for the end of march/beginning of may etc. I was hoping to get my tune in may(saving up for a 35r and cams) or maybe late late april..What u guys think???i would think the airfare in late april/early may would be slightly cheaper as well..
