I'll come on down from San Marcos. Lets make it a caravan. I have the mail in flash so I wouldn't mind a little extra tuning.

Hey guys, just read on the Buschur Evo forums that Al is over there right now doing some seriously extensive tuning with Buschur. The Buschur shop car has been taken down to stock and Al will tuning on it all the way from economy package all the way up to the Stage 4 kit. You know this will be in our advantage because now we will be reaping the benefits of this situation when Al comes to Houston. Al knows his stuff when it comes to tuning the Evo's and has gained a great deal of experience and knowledge in a relatively short amount of time, now we have that paired up with the tried and true tuning ideas of Buschur. I bet you Al will be getting some pretty good ideas from this experience. I'm extra excited now. Al tell us how the Buschur sessions go!

Buschur mission was a 100% sucess - anyone have any questions about what went down feel free to call me or PM me

If you dont have Buschur parts it really does not apply to you - only good in that I learned a lot of good stuff

Just couldn't stand having that piece just floating around when I knew it could be put to good use, sorry guys I know I went OT

It's good news to me. I bought a nice 4 bedroom house a few months before Christmas, and then the Evo, so my finances are pretty thin right now. But, when things get back in check I'll be going for Buschur's stage 4 kit. So, it's good to know that I can install it and just plug in the ECU and be good to go .

As for the Houston tuning session, is this still a go? You got flight details and hotel details Al? If so, we need to figure out a nice stretch of raod that you can tune on without too much interference. We also have one person who has paid deposit who seems to be MIA. If need be, I'll jump back in to fill the last space if they don't respond.

Al how is this location?

Hampton Inn
12909 Northwest Freeway
Houston, TX. 77040
713-939-7100

It's close to a couple of major freeways and a couple of blocks away from the only AWD dyno in houston.....Turbochargers.com

Al.......so can you get the HKS 272/272 cam's idle under control now with the dynoflash?

I can't seem to find any 264's around so i might have to buy 272's for the dynoflash.

Did Buschur's stage 4 car have 264 or 272 cams installed when they did the reflash?

Lowness I have a 264 intake cam in my car I'd be willing to trade for a 272 intake. It's just broken in with probably....15 or 20 miles on it? Not driving the car right now because of an issue with my aftermarket exhaust (having to ship some parts back and forth). I can pull it any time.

264/272 is a little too mild for my tastes.

Hiya,

Question....

Just want to make sure because the trend don't really say. Are we meeting at Turbochargers, or we meeting at Hampton Inn?

Has anyone contacted Turbochargers.com to get prices for dyno pulls, also my time is the last one at 9-12 is Turbochargers.com going to stay open for us to dyno?

If there something I over looked or missed some info plz let me know thanks

I tune on the street. It takes longer than one hour to fine tune a evo with a reflasher and the dyno fees would be more costly than the flash itself if I took 3 hours on the dyno. Also - the street is the most accurate load and IMHO yields the smoothest tune for a street driver car, Finally, only the street gives me the chance to see any driveability issues the car may have and try and tune them out,

Anyone who is interetsed in a dyno pull can just arrange with the dyno shop for 2 or 3 pulls after the dyno flash.

If anyone has any specific questions - feel free to call me 203-515-4110

Lastly - everyone gets to drive along with me, watch the gauges, see what i am doing and learn a lot about evo tuning and ecu adjustment in the process. When we are done you will know how your car is tuned and why we tuned it that way.

264 is the best - IMHO. I would not use 272 at all unlesss it was a modified block with a bigger turbo spinning over 8,000 rpms
