yes towerhobbies is great but, is this going to be your first car? do you know what you are getting into? if so, go with TH if not if I were you, go to a local hobby shop, any problem you have most of the hobbyshops will help you out, also most of them sell for about the same price as any other place. And you can see what you are buying right there in front of you.

believe me, been there done that for the last 17 years and over 30 cars

true my first one was from my local hobby shop which matched towerhobbies price which was a plus!... in any case if its a Ready To Run model, u don;t really need to go to ur hobby shop, but if ur gonna build one, go for it and it is better to hit up ur local shop as they can be quite helpful in the process.

i agree in trying to find a local hobby shop... try the yellow book. find one withn in driving distance.

Trust me on this your nitro R/C will break and its no fun at all if u have no idea how to fix or have trouble finding parts online. hobby shops will help u out.. since ur paying thier bills.

and on another note, it can get really addictive to upgrade
(hook up) ur R/C. just like a real car. it will cost money..
examaple.. 300 dollars for a Rossi engine...

Look for an HPI RS4 nitro, preferably the Super Nitro (its bigger and has 2.2" wheels). PM me if you've got questions, Ive been into the hobby for 18 years (since I was 6) and have everything from cars to helicopters. Good luck and enjoy the hobby, it gets pricey!

Use the yellow pages and find a local shop. Give them all your business so they remain a local shop and you have somewhere to go hang out, ask questions, get assistance... basically all the things you're going to want and need as you proceed with your new hobby.

You may spend a little bit more money but the cost will be lower.

^^^ Explanation: The price is just a number on a tag. The cost is the total expense including the price plus lack of assistance, lack of knowledgeable people to interact with etc. If you deduct the value of the local source from the price at your local source then your cost will be lower than www.whatever.com who aren't there for you.
