rick case..
rick case..
just wanted to vent some about the dealership.. *reading this is only recomended if u have some time to waste.. no real point, just 1 guy's opinion*
haven't posted in a long time, but i try to check up on this board when i have time.. i saw rick case mentioned, so i thought i'd post something about them.. i used to own an integra and i always got great service from acura.. maybe cuz it's mitsubishi it's different, but there hasn't been a single time when i've been able to drop my car off for any kind of service and then pay for it and leave.. there's always something that goes wrong and i have to complain.. i'm talking about the rick case by gwinnett mall.. just a few of the things that have happened:
dropped my car off for an oil change and tire rotation/balance, when i got my car back it had 15 more miles on it.. i can understand a few more miles for a road test, but isn't 15 a bit too much?? maybe that's nothing, but another time i did their free 27?-point inspection and they said i needed new brakes.. i went to my buddy's car shop and he said they were fine.. so when i went back for my next service rick case said that the brakes were still fine too.. after a rotation and balance the shaking became worse.. went to my buddy's shop and he balanced it and the shaking went away.. the latest experience is i dropped my car off and it eveything was fine.. when i go to pick it up they tell me there's a nail in the tire.. i look and the nail is sticking out about an inch.. u can't miss it.. and it wasn't there when i dropped it off.. after wasting about 3 hours hearing how there are no nails on their property and even if one of their drivers drove over it it wasn't their fault (i asked for that in writing but they refused) they said that they would get me a wholesale deal on some tires and mount them for free.. well their price was about $100 more than what i got it for (toyo proxies 4?) and when they mounted it they put on some kumho ecsta's and had to re-mount it which ended up taking about 3 hours.. they did compensate me for my last experience (i only asked for $100 for the one tire with the nail in it, but they said no, they'll just mount them for free if i buy new tires).. so i give them some credit for that.. but that was only after i stood there for an extra 3 hours.. they were very reluctant at first.. k.. this is getting kinda long, but 1 more thing..
when i first bought my car from them i was told that they have a 150 mile/3 days return policy.. if u meet both then u can return the car no questions asked.. mitsubishi corporation confirmed this.. of course that excludes the evo which was not mentioned until i went to return it.. and the evo was the only car i was looking at.. i've learned to get everything in writing and if u can't, then think really hard about it.. can't really trust people these days.. oh, i was trying to return it cuz i paid too much for it.. but that's prolly my fault too..
the bottom line is that the service i get from rick case, which is supposed to be a great dealership, sucks.. but maybe it's just to me..
ah.. and the reason that i continue to go back there is that i want to be sure that everything is kept under warrenty.. and of course when my bearings go bad they say that the warrenty for that is 36 months/36,000 miles.. i have 38,000+.. gotta look for some paper work on that too cuz i thought i got it extended..
i'm not trying to bash the dealership.. i just wanted to mention that i've been having problems there and my last experience won't stop bugging me.. is it just me??

Rick Case Roswell is also as bad about Evo's. Here is my story. I'll make it short.
I went to get my Front caliper replaced because it was peeling. They said they'll do it along with my recalls. Also I was getting my Brake pads changed and rotors turn. Cost me $200 for turning the rotors and changing the pads.
This takes 3 days. Ok, that's fine. I go get my caliper replaced and I get the car back after about 3 hours.
Here is the kicker. I get into the car, the brake is about 90% depressed before the brakes actually grabs. I'm like, what the hell? The service advisor Mike tells me it's gonna go away in a day or so. Very Vague and just goes off.
They do that a lot. Allen and Mike will just go walk off somewhere even if you have a question for them. I even have a witness for all this.
So I go back to the dealership the next day (tuesday, got the caliper done monday).
I just know that they didn't bleed the brakes. Mike says he promise that he bleeded. All 4 over the phone.
I go back and I see Mike pumping the brakes while the car is sitting still with all the wheels on. The mechanic is only bleeding the front left caliper and not the inside.
So when Mike brings the car back to me, i ask him " did you bleed the inside caliper too?"
He gives me such a shlt for it. He shakes his head, sigh loud and make it look like I was so wrong that it was frustrating him. He tells me that there is only one bleeder on the front caliper.
I get in my (considering I almost ran into 3 cars the first time when they didn't bleed the brakes, I was relatively calm) car, i could still feel the brakes being spongy. It got me so pissed. I just got some new Project Mu B-force brakes and it should bite a lot faster than this bs.
So i call him and he yells and talks over me and says "Bring it back!" I'm like WTF this guy think I am? I already went back there for about a week.
If his mechanic done it right the first time, I wouldn't have to drive 50 miles to their dealership wasting about half of my 93 octane gas on my spongy and dangerous brakes!
To conclude this horrid story, I went down to Alabama and met this mechanic Tim who's actually done some work on Evo's and is Mitsu triple star certified.
He calls up Rick Case and here is what Mike said to him.
Tim said the Mike said that his mechanic didn't know there was two bleeders in the 4 piston Brembo Brakes and that the mechanic completely forgot to bleed the brakes the first time when they installed the Caliper.
So about a week and a half time, I had to go back and forth to Rick Case Roswell for something they F ucked up.
the crazy part of all this was that Mike lied to me straight to my face regarding just about anything and I had to travel 100 miles to find out what happened to my car!
I'm more suprise at the fact that they actually let people go home with absolutely no pressure on their brake system. That's just criminal.
I would never go back to that dealer and I'm not even sure if they perform the radiator fan switch recall, since Tim couldn't find anything on the national registry for recall. I've gotten this about 2 weeks before I went to see Tim and it still wasn't on the computer as a done job.
I think they rip people off and does not know anything about the Evo 8. I thought Rick case was one of the good dealership, but I'm confident that they'll f uck up your car if you go there.
I'm in the process of contacting the service manager and Rick Case.

i hate dealers and auto shops
one time i put diesel into my evo(dumb a$$ fuel delievery guy put diesel in the premium tank of the gas station when he delievered) and i went to mitsu dealer to take care of it..
well well it took them more than a week to drain the damn gas tank and clean the injectors throughly (as they claimed, i personally think alll they did was just put a cheap bottle of injector cleaner) and change spark plugs which came out to be 500 bucks, thats right 500 bucks..story dont ends here...when i picked it up and started the car, the car died on me..at the spot!! it was knocking and stalling really bad , but the tech said it will go away soon after i drive it more..claiming that it will have some residue left over and need time to flush the whole system..
and IT kept doing for several days..so i went to other mitsu dealer
well well .... they drained diesel out my tank!! thats right ....diesel! those fudges did not completely drain my gas tank...I learned that evo's gas tank is divided into two section.
well i paid another 300 bucks for another spark plug gone..and such..
i went to the previous mitsu, they were like..the tank is not divided into two section..
i was like look at the diagram..they even showed me...they thought i was dumb or something. They never gave me my money back..so i went to gas station owner where i pumped my gas...for all the trouble i have gone through...and guess what he told me to go to gas company for reinburst... i was like damn...this whole thing took about 3 weeks to solve...
anyway i would never trust dealership peeps
