Ok I have decided to go ahead and try to set up an Offical meet at the dragon in the spring. Don't have date set yet but I want to get these planned out and I want everyone to be there.
For those that know what the dragon is you can back me up on this. you have a beautiful strectch of 11 miles of highway with 318 curves in it.
I already know quite a few clubs meet there. Believe the 1st one usually is the "wake the dragon" with the S2k club (you can thank wsb for the name). I will see what weekends have already been booked up and when we can have a weekend up there.
I would appreciate some help from a few people who are willing to volunteer

i working on getting next yrs schedule at the dragon. hoping to get atleast 50 people there....hopefully smart and decent drivers since the dragon isn't easy and people get hurt a lot there by being stupid

 

yea the last time i went a guy in a civic who came with a friend spun his car into a ditch. If you want I know the guys at NASIOC usually do a run in the early spring we could get together with some wrx and sti people and have a HUGE get together.

 

we still want to get some runs in though those that are good

i took the OZ through at 30-50 and she held up ok stock, the brakes were smoking afterwards though and mush. some people think they can just fly through there at like 80 mph and there cars just cant handle so many runs and they try to prove themselves

Yea I ruined the brakes on my wrx up there lol. I did about 15 runs back to back with no break between. I just got to the gravel area on TN side or gas station on NC side and turned around. My rotors were glowing BRIGHT red when I got done. I had to buy new rotors and pads. Driving home that day wasn't too fun lol.

 

it's a bit of a drive from here but i'm in!!

 

yea i want to have this planned way ahead of schedule and i want the whole east coast involved (well any one willing to drive) it is beautiful scenry and there is the blue ridge mnt also to travel to make it a weekend cruise and stuff. also knoxville isn't but an hr away and a few people live there if night life entertainment is a draw

So far this is what is planned in 05. it is in the mountains and it is winter so the soonest i say to go there is april. any suggestions on a good weekend to start planning this

 

If no one else cares I would prefer after May 2nd. That way when we go party after we go through I can drink and have fun with everyone else lol.

 

I'm down for whenever......just let me know and also if anyone else local wants to go sooner hit me up and we will go anytime! Sad thing is I have never been and I am local and have had an S2K and an Evo. Gotta go sooon!
