It's not that bad ... I place 2nd in class Fl State championship autocross driving an Evo 8 last year. wasn't my car and wasn't that used to it.
I've done a few 160 mph runs in my old Twin Turbo Z with some nice kills in my drag racing days.
I've also had the rear end step out in the Z on a curve at about 100 mph and shytted a turd while holding it down.
I also do high speed track events with NASA and Chin motor Sports. You wanna talk about ***** ... take turn 1 or 9 off the NASCAR straights and hold throttle in the turn while the car bumps up and down with concrete barriers on one side and jam brakes without upsetting the car's balance to take the next corner! ... much worst than going fast in a straight line. I missed the apex on one lap and got my outside wheel partially off the tarmac in one of those turns ... with my ***** in my mouth!
I could buy an Evo for cash any day of the week, but I'm buying a few investment properties instead requiring big cash deposits.
I'm learning it's not that important what you drive as the techniques learned and applied. I've had my fill of drag racing. I also know that if I switched cars now it would skew my baseline in assessing the progress of my driving skills at track events.
