Put the IX bov on and noticed an immediate idle difference compared to that Greddy pos.Nice and quiet too.

I don't remember but I doubt it really matters.I have beeen told the same thing by different techs that IX bov is a much better option.

...also, that difference in idle your noticing is probably due to the IX bov leaking slightly @ idle...so the maf is reading the vacuum blah blah blah...long story short...its a nice unit.

Blow into it. The VIII units leak. The IX's get pushed open at 24psi.

I have not seen them leak in vacuum. If you have, I need you to take a video of it while your friend simultaneously takes a still photo. Your mom, a police officer and a priest need to be present and mom needs to be throwing the shocker in the photo.

I will then believe that the stock IX bov leaks at idle.
