so i need tires... only for the front. i want to go 255/40/17 all around, but at the moment i only need 2 for the front, so heres my question: can i run wider tires (and different brand) on the rear? and stocks in the front?

Your car is awd, not RWD...don't be gay all your life.

Buy 4 new tires and sell the 2 good ones in the rear. Or buy 2 new stock tires and rotate accordingly. If you would have rotated your tires properly the wear would be even amongst the 4 tires not "only for the front"

Good luck mexico.

If you want to damage your transfercase and rear differential, then yes you can.

If not, then run the same tires all around.

1- I luv the tuner punch, oh snappled ur car got a flat ::crap es the 4ws tune, oh snapples my seats r fading ::crap es the 4ws tune, Oh snapples i'm putting good numbers down w good afr ::crap es the 4ws tune:: ::na it can't be ::
2- Azenis suck in the rain and don't have much life on them. Get something w better thread wear and you can find decent tires that are overall better. Azenis r tires for people who like to race/autox/drag not so much for daily driving. I have them on my new set up and i'm not impressed at all, then again I drive them on a regular basis not at a road course.

I'd hate to say this but you are wrong about Rt-615's they show one of the highest wet skid pad g's and mphs.

and wear there is no wear on these tires i drive 120 miles a day ive had them for 20k and i autox on the same set over a year old already and im just at the first cut line. i dont know where u get ur infomation but i drive at any speed i want in the rain and have never even understeered or hydroplaned with them i know im a great driver but these are amazing tires dont listen to the hype of this site read up

meh im already looking for prices... you have 25540 on yours? or what?
- theres a thread here with recommendations and "Ratings" on a bunch of tires i might go with BF GOODRICH KD or YOKOHAMA ADVAN AD-07 NEOVA (also looking into those falkens- but they do suck on wet roads)... i will get them all around if i get a good deal, if not ill just have to get the stocks for the front and wait till i destroy those

they have compared those to the stocks and say they are about the same when in wet... and there are much better tires with better grip when wet. there forr they suck when wet. but ive driven the stocks thru hard rain, and wet roads and like you said there is no understeer... but there are better tires for wet conditions.

u are heading to the right direction, see autox lovers defend the tires. I did not bash them, simply said they r not good in the rain. Mr. Fast tunner himself 4ws had them on his car and once the thread was wearing a little bit he was not comfortable w them in the rain. There r many threads about the azenis being good race/autox tires but not good for daily or rainy days.

I say go 255/40/17 , I got 18s now i have 255/35/18 but once they wear out if i keep the rims i will go w bigger size or maybe 255/40/18 I want a little mor meat on them.
