What is allowed in STU?

 

The man is a national champ running hoosiers or something. He hit like warp speed going through the course...Amazing. He is also an incredibly nice guy. He rode along with Ana on her last run to give her a few pointers.

STU is for AWD turbo cars. (Evos, STis, WRXs, Audi S4s and a few others) Street tires only. No boost controllers or cams. Almost anything else goes. Kiko was runing race tires so he was in ESP class.

Actually I can't say that i disliked anybody that goes to the AutoX. Everybody is polite, helpful, friendly... Almost like TEMEVO without the Evos. (Shameless plug)

 

There is a CFR event this weekend in Ft. Pierce if anyone wants to come up for it. I usually only run the Saturday practice days, would love to see some more Evo's out there, especially in AS. Trying to feel out how I'm doing, but its always the same STi's and 993's and I usually put .3 or more on them.

Kiko wasn't running STU, he ran ESP with the autocross tires. He was really fast as he has been driving AWD cars for a long time. He also is a National Champion in STX in his old WRX.

ESP & STU are almost idenitical in what you can do to the car, except for the tires. That's why with the new tires, Kiko moved to ESP. Check some sights here and you will see that this might even get moved to BSP.

His car is loaded with Goodies and is really fast. The course on Sunday was a horsepower course.

I think that he is going to Indian River Community College in Ft. Pierce on Sunday since you are in that area. I might show up for grins. I'll probably run the S2000.

I have a few upgrades that I have been discussing and am thinking about implimenting to Bob. Well see. Well, off to work.

 

Maybe I'll bolt on the Hoosiers one more time and run AS in the car!!! I haven't done that lately. I'm a little discourgaged by the car in AS trim as it has a tendency to "Dog Leg" and this isn't that good for the diffs and such. That's one reason I have been playing with it in STU. Plus me and Kiko can push each other.

Well good morning to both of you. GVR if you put .3 secs on STis and 993s then you es must be kickass. I know it's really a driver thing but wow.

Chris good to see you on. Again thanks for all the help. see you in August if you come down. If you don't want to use Bob we could just do double driver on Dax if you are interested. I mean... in for a penny, in for a pound.

I dunno, they're probably just that much worse than I am. I've only done autoX twice, my car is painfully stock, not even an alignment, and plus I'm a 6'4" 270lb brick shlthouse. I don't think any of this is helping.

I have 225 Azenis coming today or tommorrow, I guess we'll see if they're any good or if I wasted $450.

whats up everyone...just reporting in on my one time i can post....tell me about it scooter...my first one was #15...EVOLancerVII of AUTO-X fame...he hasn't gone to any of our regular meeting but he goes to most of the auto-X has #2....Girlspeed of all people has post #4...and PRVRT post #5....lol thats damn crazy....the guy that started the thread has since sold his lancer and is now a proud owner of a 350Z....well thats enough history for today...lol...see ya tomorrow same time same place...
