Insurance is killing HPDEs. I remember 1998 I did a 2-day at Sebring and it was $225.

 

That's only a 50 dollar difference. Not a MAJOR factor. Also remember this is at Homestead. Renting this venue has got to be a little pricey. I definately agree on the insurance issue though. Even prices at AutoX are going up due to this.

People that take this type of school should get a discount on their insurance though as they are less likely to get into a bad situation... At least if they are firing all cylinders.

True, But if you can't afford $50, then you can't afford an Evo. You Might want to try a BMW... My wife has a 325i and she gets all scheduled maintenance free. You would only have to pay for extras.
