The base where I work is sending my work to Albany GA, What will EVO ownership be like in the South? Not sure if this should be posted in off-topic.

Will GA owners please give there accounts of the driving conditions, police attitudes, import ownership acceptance ect.

Please tell me they have IN-N-OUT BURGER In Georgia!

In Atlanta, you'd be ok, but in Albany, you'll be one of a kind. There's not much import acceptance, roads are bad, and police don't like big wings.

No, there is no IN-N-OUT burger.

Man, you're in trouble.

Oh, but having an RS, you won't be noticed, since you have no wing. They'll just think you're a crappy Lancer probably.

Well I'm from South Carolina and Georgia, but I lived in Atlanta... Albany is a bit more rural. If you are coming from Cali then you will find the south 10 times more tolerant as far as your car is concerned. All you hear is exhaust, everything from big nasty trucks to those Honda fart pipes to motorcycles. Everywhere you turn you will see rice, limo tint, chrome wheels, and pretty paint jobs... lol. Now cops are just cops, it just depends on the area, some are way worse than others, don't know much about Albany. There are several good shops around Atlanta to get your car tuned and worked on if you need it and as far as the weather, hell there is no particular pattern. Well it's hot and humid as hell. But what you will like is the good ol 93-95 octane gas. I noticed mostly 91 I think when I spend my 3 months at NTC out there in Cali... Overall it's not that bad, don't worry.

Why would you want to hunt raccoons? Are they "some good eatin"? LOL

Actually Zmeli and I both work together and are being sent to MCLB, Albany, GA and he has an RS, and I have an 03 Evo VIII I really wanna know what we're in for.

Good thing is, with the performance suspension of our Evo's we can dodge all the dead animals on the road!

Wow, look at all the comedians from Ca in this thread.

Basically, it all comes down to what you are looking to get out of your experience.
Flying a Union flag? You'd probably be more apt to getting your *** kicked if you flew a confederate one. Just wait until you get there, put aside your ignorant misconceptions, and then comment. I'm sure it will be different from Ca, but that's a good thing.
