i was curious to see if anyone has run their car at Road Atlanta. my neighbor races bikes there quite often, and wasnt too sure what the requirements are for cars, so does anyone know? i want to get some numbers for my car, though it isnt very fast, it would be a lot of fun. thanks for any help.

 

helmet, your basic safety equipments. some wont let you in if you don't have a rollcage, but most will let you in.

take crap out of your car, like screw drivers.

and money. like $300 or so.

 

thanks plokivos, how about an age requirement, do you have to be a certain age? and do you need to have at least a 4-point harness, or is a standard seatbelt alright?
If i do go, i plan to strip my car, all the seats, spare tire, carpeting, probably center console, but not the dash and door paneling (need to save as much weight as possible since my car isnt very fast)- if i left anything out let me know.

 

Panoz has a track day several times a year. Drivers must be 18 with current drivers license. Passengers are not permitted to drive and must be at least 16. Placed into three groups a, b and c groups which is for first timers( lead follow instructor). Car must pass safety inspections lap and shoulder belts are ok. A lot of vipers porsches stis vettes ect. One day is 275.00 two days around 600.00 must be in group c if first time next day will be placed in b group. Must have Snell 95 or better or rent helmet for 20.00. BMW club also has track days this summer. I hope this helps.

 

thanks for your help, im trying to get together a group of friends that want to go, so far im talking to my friend that has an s2k (used to have a b16 swapped 94 civic hatch-215whp and weighed only 1800lbs, but rolled it) and possibly my friend that has a 03 wrx, slighly modded. im just really bored this summer and am trying to find something to do that is fun.
