Question Ride of Daytona?

Hey Guys,

I am new to the Southeast region forum and I did a search on Ride of Daytona. Didn't really find what I was looking for.

I am not looking to start a vendor bash here, but I would just like to hear anything about these guys. Good or bad, not specifically their prices, but more about their knowledge and work on evos.

Also any experiences with going to them for trouble shooting or advice on your evo, would be very helpful. Did they tune your car install parts or sell you parts.

I believe they may also go by the name of www.radicalride.com

If you are in the central Florida area, contact Scott at TTP Engineering for parts and mechanical work and John at Jestr Tuning for any ECU reflashes. They are the best in the game, great customer service and pricing. Anyone in the Orlando area will attest to that.

I don't know of anyone who has had any work done there, I'm from Deltona, been there once for a show they had, the guys there were pretty cool and seemed knowlegeable, they just pushed the big turbo kits on ya quite abit. As Ive said before, I get everything from Titan or TTP in Orlando, I stick with what I know works, and it helps that the prices are much more reasonable too.

Thank you fellas... Last I heard the GT35R RIDE car equipped with R-compund tires got it **** handed to them by one of my customers on street tires. That is of course prior to one of their turbo bolts falling off the GT35R and almost losing the turbo along with it.

I saw their cars over at Aerocomp Racing this Sat., probably being tuned by Hector@Aerocomp.

I wish there was somewhere near Ft Myers FL I could to.

As far as I know the closest thing is Tampa or Orlando..I'm sure Miami is good to but either way they're both good 2+ hour drives.

Just about everything done to my car has been done by RIDE. They have been good to me. I just got back from sea so i missed out on their tuning day. would have liked to get mine tuned by aerocomp. kinda off topic, which is better jestr or aerocomp for tuning?

They are both very good, I don't think Aerocomp reflashes stock ECU's though. Personally, I along with most everyone else in Orlando goes to jestr. He tunes on Aerocomps dyno as well as CFT.

It depends what platform is being tuned. Hector is good with Haltech and AEM EMS, probably some others too. What do you need tuned?

I've talked to Hector. I have an UTEC. I've also been looking at TOPSPEED in Atlanta. The big thing for me is that I'll be moving soon (SC) and for future tunes where would I be getting them done. I figured that it would be best plan to have who tunes it first to be tuning later when i upgrade the turbo. Thanks for the advice TTP.

Not sure about UTEC, I do know that www.JEstrtuning.com is good with UTEC. He is a software engineer by day so ECU programming is clockwork for him. I have been to tuning sessions with him and seen him tune a wrx using UTEC.

Hector is multi-talented too. He is of course is also the driver for the 9.2sec no nitrous Talon they have at Aerocomp.
