Hopefully we can get more details in the next few weeks. If there is something in the works for EVOs to come out there...well, I'd definitely attend. SteveosEVO, I probably will make it to that AutoX. I don't have anything planned for that Saturday, so it should be cool.

Ok, who all is going to the autox at the BMW plant on 3/19? Even if you're not going to run just come out there and hang out. BADEVO, got anything else done with the site?

 

i will probaly go and may even run if i've gotten my new tires. i wont be able to go to the dynoflash at south of the border b/c of military class that i have to take and get this, its in CA.

its not like i'm taking my car and its only for 4 days. i'm taking a redeye friday to get back here.

 

How much does the autox eat away at tires. I'm just curious b/c I just put on the Ecsta ASX and I'm afraid the hard driving will wear them down a lot. Does anyone have any comments on this??? I know what everyone will say, "don't be a baby, drive the car the way it is supposed to," but tires can get expensive along with everything else.

 

You're right. Autox'ng will eat away at the tires. My Advans looked brand new until I ran them in December. Now mind you, there wasn't a lot of tread gone, but you could tell on the sidewalls that I was autox'ng. The all-seasons probably will hold up a little better than Advans being a harder compound tire...at least that's what I think. Obviously, they don't grip like the Advans do. IMO, you should be fine to do it on 3/19. If you plan to make it something you're doing every few weeks or months, you may want to consider some other tires.

BTW, how are those ASXs? Do they hold up pretty well? You can't beat the tread wear on those tires.

 

I might be able to come up there, I won't be running, but I would enjoy coming up there to visit with you guys.
