unless you drive like granny, lol. He said that its 3 hrs from charleston, columbia is 1 1/2 hrs from charleston so how far is greer from columbia. Something else that caught my eye, I was looking at seat-time schedule and the guy, Jon, is doing an autocross in Greer on the same date. Same event?

Hey don't worry about your tires... I did 10+ auto crosses when I was in hawaii with my stock advans, and still got 15k miles on them, which was higher than AVERAGE. The edges of your tires will get a little rough, but no worries as it doesn't affect your driving experience.

Ok.. I am back from Europe, found the thread..
Tire wear in Autocross... mostly this depends on air pressures.. if you leave them at stock pressures, then yep, it will kill the sidewalls.. if you pump them up (I like 38-40 front and 42-48 rear) it will substantially increase tire life while autocrossing. (along with handling)
The Evo Tuner Challenge/HPDE is up now of course, and I hope to have a registration page up for the HPDE session in the next few days. Along wiht driving the AMS car at the event, I will also be organizing the HPDE portion through SeatTime.
I will be at the Autocross this weekend on the 19th. Link with info is here:

I went 10 days without even being in a car over in Europe (but did get to ride in a couple of 150mph trains) so I am itching to get some driving in, I am going through withdrawls. Most likely I will be in my GF's Nissan Spec V SE-R.
This is great that we are getitng response like this ot go out to an event, we really need Evos to ballance out the normal multitudes of Subarus that show up.

From Charleston/Columbia: Take I-26 West to I-385 North (Greenville), then take I-85 North to Exit 60 and turn left on SC-101. The lot is the rear employee lot. At 0.9 you will see the Performance Center on the right, continue till the divided highway ends and get in the left lane. At 1.9 miles (at the bottom of the hill) turn left onto Brockman McClimon Rd. Go 0.4 miles and make a left into the BMW West Entrance. Go 0.3 miles and turn right. Sign reads "Lot C BMW Associate Parking. Continue another 0.3 miles to the parking lot.

I had a huge crash last week so my original site went by by. I threw this one together. It's going to have 10000 changes in the next couple weeks. Please be patient. Have fun register, log in and play.
