Sc Evos

First off, anyone outside of SC is welcomed to this, I dont want you guys to feel left out, its just i know more of the SC guys. i want to gauge the interest level for this.

I would like to get everyone together liked we had mentioned in another thread and i think this would be a good way to do it. http://www.roeblingroad.com/track.html. i know rain or shine this place is open so it would be a good learning experience along with all of us hanging out. If we get some of more evos from GA and FL, we might have enough to reserve it for our own day. if you look on the schedule, there are times for seat time, but i have a feeling that it will be like open to everyone. not that i have a problem with that, but i would like to have it more of a consice group of people.

I'll keep you guys posted on the progress.

I agree this would be a good way to get everyone together at a track. I'm all for it if we can get it organized.

Also on 3/19 there's an Autocross @ the BMW plant. I won't be tuned by then so I probably won't run, but it still might be a good event to meet up. Just throwing some ideas out there...

This is a real good idea. I definitely want to start autoXiung or road racing with my evo. I wanted to do it with my GSX but never got the chance. Let me know if you guys need any help starting to set some stuff up. Hopefully i would be able to get off work to go to one of these meets.

I'm in, just let me know where and when we would like to meet. The Autocross at the BMW plant sounds cool. I believe that plant is close to where I used to live. Please let me know soon on meets so I can ask time off.

I just emailed the seat time folks to see if we can get a group discount if we go with 4 -6 cars.

Trust me, if you do it once...you'll be hooked. I've got some new rims coming in so I can use the stock rims/tires for the autocrosses/track days. I've never actually road raced before but that looks fun too. This is the kind of feedback we need around here.

I may have to roll out to this. I'm not going to run because of the tuning issues but you definitely should. I'm telling you, it's great! Besides, it's at the BMW plant...maybe they'll give one away or something...

wow, didnt think i would get this many replies so quick. ok, quick update. i received an email from Jon, who drives the AMS evo for time attack, and he sent me the schedule for seat-time. i think this would be a good way for us to get the hang of it and get some practice, but there will be many other cars out there. however, there is something in the works just for us (evos). i wouldnt want everyone to start emailing jon and trying to find out whats up, b/c its not set yet, but in the works. i also thought about possible group discount provided a number of guys could come outside of the seat-time, which was the underlying purpose of me emailing roebling road. as for the autox, i would like to go to that, i should have my stock rims back on by then.

That sounds good. Just let us know what's going on. We should be able to have a good turn out at these events. So are we looking like the BMW Autocross on 3/19 might be an event to meet up at?

Geez, I hope not! But hey word of mouth does a lot. And I know there's a lot of guys who read these forums but don't post, so maybe they'll see that we're trying to get the SC EVOs together. I know there's more of us out there.
