Roll Call For Sc Evos
I have driven nothing but RWD cars up until owning the Evo (Mustang, 4 bimmers, Lightning) so I can handle the rear end swing in N/A / Linear powerbands..it's just that I now have to learn "when" it's going to do it with a turbo car. I never worried about it with the stock flash because it was damn near impossible to get the rear-end to kick out.
Now the learning begins. Which is exciting because I was kind of getting bored with the way my evo handled (why I looked at the flash to begin with). It always seemed like the car would babysit my driving. If I drove like an idiot..it would compensate. I want to control the car, damnit! If I want to screw up..let me do it!
So..I can forsee some more botched runs with the street flash until I learn the powerband/traction limit of my car, but overall I think when I do find that happy medium, it will pay off.
One thing I do know is that the street and race flashes add more pressure to the ACD steel clutch packs (I know you're saying duh)..but you can really tell by watching the ACD reservoir. With the normal stock flash, it stays right at the max line. With the race and street flash..after you put the computer in and start the car, the fluid level goes down to the low line. That's shows you how much hydraulic pressure there is at default (% of lock-up).

Hey Guy's I just want to invite everyone to Our Annual Mitsubishi Evolution & DSM meet.
it is that time of year again for us to throw a huge Evo meet, but this time we are trying to break a Guinness World Record for the World's largest Mitsubishi meet. We would like to have more than 275 Mitsubishi's at this meet. We would love to see you all come out and represent your community,Everyone who owns a Mitsubishi lancer or Evo or DSM is more than welcome to our meet.

True. I was wondering about that. It didn't seem like a good idea to let that level get low. But if I get this flash, I wouldn't be switching back to stock very often anyway.
True...and it's not hard to use a turkey baster (or a 5-6 drags from a McDonalds straw in my case) to get the fluid level back down if you swap back.
I hate HP Tuners. Spend $650 for tuning software, and the damned thing wont read my ECU. And of course the HP tuners help forum doesnt say anything about my problem.
Makes me wish I still had the Evo. Free tuning software, Free help from tons of very smart people willing to help another out.

have you messaged some of the moderators of HPT over there? I had a question regarding some of their stuff and actually was able to speak to a dev pretty easily. . worth a shot if you haven't exhausted that already.
Also, did someone else tune your car or buy it used? I believe there's a way on some GM ecu's to lock it which would suck GL

Yeah, I made a post about it in their help forums. The responses were "turn the key on" and link to installing a driver, which was already installed. I deleted all of it and reinstalled everything, and will try again in lil while.
Yeah, there is a way to lock the ECU, but i think you can do that with the Mitsu's too? IDK
I have had it tuned 1 time before, and I am hoping that they didnt lock it, the guy didnt seem to be that kinda guy, but you never know
