The black plastic on is. I think I might have 2 layin arround. I know the one off my car had 47k on it, held ok. I also have a TurboXS one that I used, didnt flutter. Worked well on my car, but not on Brandons. They are all available, my car is still on jack stands.

Probably, I hit 385 from Simpsonville to Woodruff each morning. Somewhere around 7-7:30. I've never seen another red one heading that way that early.

The break-in:
I seem to have picked up some superstition, so I want to be careful in "not speaking too soon".

Its going really good thus far - almost through my 1st tank of gas, already did one oil change - let oil drain over a powerful magnet, no signs of anything.

The clutch was a lot smoother than I planned. I didn't even have to adjust it. I think resurfacing the flywheel offset the extra material on the new disk a bit, and even on the first run, it was only slightly grabby in reverse backing out. Otherwise, it held tight and was smooth.

I got my UEGO in lastnight, and the AFRs are pretty much spot on with my map. I just need to make the RS232 connector and take some logs with it.

Thus, 200 miles of varying driving...no leaks, no funny noises, pretty much smooth runnings. I just need to tweak the maps a bit to freshen her up, put the undertray back on, and make my heat shield.

Now, I need to find a large piece of wood to knock on.

ALSO, Anyone interested in the Sunday Upstate Mountain Cruise?

Ah, I do the 385 run from Haywood to Butler at that same time. I hear you on the "not speaking too soon", I understand that poo can happen in a hurry. Sounds like you're taking the appropriate measures.

Did something happen to slow down the process? I know you were looking for some parts and stuff...

Oh Yeah. A few things happened. Several midstream changes. At the begining I was just going back stock & patch the spun bearing & auction it off---> then I was going to just replace the rod &crank & just keep it----> then I started to stroke it with the same old mod's---> then I bought a 20g & new exhaust---> now, Im just going all out. But I have to wait of the machinist and engine builder now.

So far I have a bunch of extra parts I need to sell so I can buy more parts I will be making a thread this weekend after I get pics of everything. Im tired of not having my Evo

Best way to keep miles off your Evo? Start mod'ing alot Bought mine on Feb 1, 2007 and to this day I have put right under 3k miles on it.

Not yet, I'm actually in Detroit on business right now. I'll be back tomorrow night and try to figure out some details.

It will be low key, so maybe something like meeting up at some time at some location...

Yeah, this one works out good for me. My daughter's party is on the 20th, so I shouldn't be tied down for Sunday. I'm planning on making it to this one. I hope it rains!!

I would really like to head out there but it is a bit of a drive from myrtle beach. And since i'm graduating in dec. school is really kicking my *** right now. I went to 5 events this year, hopefully go to almost all the events next year. I already bought a set of stock evo 8 wheels that i'm going to throw some r-compounds on for next season so that should be fun...
