I went to the Auto Show today. I was very unimpressed... I'm glad I got a free ticket and did not have to pay $10, because IMHO it was not worth it. I found myself mostly excited with the CTS V and the Lexus IS250... There were some neat old rods and stuff, but the manufacturers displays were just ho-hum.. 's display was abysmally boring. I did chat with a nice looking woman who took my info down and said that I could get an extra $500 off from a new car purchase at any dealer. I did want the WW IX MR they had there, but that was about it.
The highlight of the outing was that I got to purchase a few of my favorite rides

 

The concept cars from Chrysler and Ford looked nice. The concept Camaro did not (I took pictures but did not post them here). The Panoz roadster was cool and of course, Lambos and Ferraris are always beautiful. The Old '53 'vette was very sweet too. I took some pics of the Nopi EVO that they are giving away. It was a little dirty and I think waay to gaudy. Still... I hope I win it

ya... thought the show was pretty lame... went at like 3 and left at like 5 last saturday... i thought i was going to stay for like 3-5 hours... but after i took 2 laps and got all the free brochures there was nothing to do...

the girls taking the pictures for the vette were hot... one had a camel toe lol... and ya they only had an evo IX and mr there when i went...

i was bout to buy one of those evo cars but i ran out of money lol... i should have jacked it... it would have been so easy too...

 

I did not even see any filth worth of photographing ..

 

lol that sucks even more... some of the models that talk bout the cars were hot...

 

that's not 53 vette. It's a c5 with a 53 vette bodykit. I think it's the most hideous body kit ever!

Hmmm.. I thougth it was a modified '54 'vette. I liked it, it looks like the old 'vette....

You are right in that the import scene was pretty bad, but so was the rest of the show .... I can't see how they can keep such a lame show going...

Yeah, I thought the car show was pretty dead. There wasnt alot there that made me go "wow", or "I really want to buy that". The only car that I fell in love with there was the BMW M6. Hopfully next year there will be better things there like the GT-R and the Evo X.
