getting rid of the vta was definitely a good idea.

He needs to check his plugs and ignition wires.. check gaps and age & mileage of the plugs themselves.

I'm pretty positive its something really simple to fix.

what was the other code?

was he gettign knock? has car ever been tuned? These are all ?'s that need to be answered.

I saw the car at the PX and honestly it doesn't look very well maintained.

Kratzner, who has done maintenance and have you always had this bucking problem? If not, when did it start?

He most def is not tuned. Didn't check his plugs, even though I thought to. I spoke with him this weekend, and even drove it. Didn't really buck at all anymore. Haven't driven an MR prior to his. Or been in a stock EVO in, well ever actually. So not so sure how hard it should pull. It did seem kind of slow though. Maybe you can take a look at it?

 

I PM'd him my num said I would look at it..

Main thing would be log it... if it isn't bucking then half the problem is corrected. I still think plugs need changed or at least looked at.. Especially throwing those codes.

 

Yeah, I agree. His other code had something to do with his rear O2, if I can remember correctly. We NEED to have an Evo Get Together here! We really need to all meet and get to know one anther. Especially since I will be leaving in a few months. I miss the get togethers back in VA. How do you like your green? I think I really want to get the BBK.

I just washed mine, but its so windy I am not going to wax it, so many dirt/dust particles all over the car. I am just going to blueice shine it before I leave tonight.

 

Man I would love to come out, but I am driving back to VA at midnight after I sign out. I have to get some sleep first...
