I am new to the area, again, and I was wondering what all is going on around here? Any meets? Local strips? Shops? anything really.

 

I'm down in Augusta sometimes. The closest drag strip is over in South Caronlina south of North Augusta near SRS. It's a nice strip, I've run at it a couple of times.

Anyone else in or around Augusta? I saw what looked to me, from a distance, like a GG MR not sure on the year, but it was on FT Gordon parked at Darling Hall.

I'm going to be moving down there first week in August so I would like to knoe as well.

 

I'm stationed at Ft. Stewart and of course you know NOPI is in Savannah. They have a great shop down there. Also Top Speed is in ATL. I know it is a little bit of a drive to both, but hell road trips are fun.

 

I am currently trying to buy an evo and am stationed on fort gordon. The MR you speak of is probably a ANCOC student. I saw the car today. Very nice, looks stock.

However,

Anyone from augusta try to have any dealings with augusta mitsubishi.

They are trying to rob me.

40k for a ix w/ssl they want 36K for the car 2500 fair market value, and 1500 to ship from other dealer, and bunch of other crap.

The worse part about it is I'm approved and have a bank check from my bank for up to 50K. I'm not even financing through them. They suck.

They won't even tell me where the car is located that I want.

Its hard to find a car in the first place and now they are trying to screw me.

 

check out san miguel or something like that, they are in SO CAL and will ship anywhere. i went to the Mitsu place here and first of all they didn't know they had diaqueen fluids, second of all they were going to charge me 80 bucks just to change the transmission. I laughed and asked if he was serious and he said yes. so now i have my safety card for the auto crafts place hahahahaha losers. if you see me around post just flag me down, i shouldnt be that hard to spot.

I actually am calling them today. I think they have a white one in stock. Not sure what model it is though.

 

What is the job place? As far as I know it is the only yellow one around here. There is a red on, GG, BBY, and I think maybe a black one. That is all I have seen in this area and all of those were on post except the blue one.

Hey I hate to bump such an old thread but are you guys still in the Augusta/Ft Gordon area? I just moved here in October and picked up my Evo a few weeks ago. I've seen 2 Evos so far on post one was yellow and the other red. Anyways I'm driving a Black IX MR so if you see me flag me down :P
