I know Carlos is getting tuned, who is the other guy? I have two people on the list who haven't made their deposits yet.

Oh yea, he's made his deposit. Cool deal. Definately make sure he has the Warlboro installed prior to the tune.

So basically the base flash is a ballpark guesstimate and the custom is mod specific.
...
In any case, if you want AMS to just tune your injector scaling and latency, you'd have to ask Chris at AMS what he would charge. I would assume that it's a custom tune but if that is all he is doing he might be willing to negotiate.
Thanks for the info. Let me expand my question(s).
For instance, Al has a plethora of tunes done for a list of mods...that is why he can do mail in flashes. This is what I am not interested in. What I am interested in, is more on the lines of the custom tune. I'd like them to be able to adjust the timing/fuel maps directly from either the road logging, or dyno logging. I'm also interested in idle adjustments, as my car sometimes likes to die after running hard.

The big question is, can they road tune, or would it have to go on the dyno? And if so, the dyno cost. I just want to get all my facts straight before I start making the investment by ordering injectors, etc.

Ahh...I certainly follow you and have the correct answers.

Yes with a Custom tune they will specifically set up your injectors and tune your car to its maximum, yet safe, level. They do have maps that carry similar mods in which they will use as a starting point. Then they go in and tweak it little by little till they think they can no longer make safe gains.

They can do this on the road or on a dyno. Of course with dyno pulls they can see exactly what kind of power each tweak produces or takes away.

Custom tune is $395, that is set in stone for the tune no matter where it's done. Dyno price however is up to each individual and the price will be determined by how many people pay for it. I'm still working with H&H Performance to get the best deal for us. But unless I have a hard number of folks who will certainly pay for it, I can't give you an accurate price. The shop's current pricing is 150 per hour. I may or may not be able to get that down to 100. I'll see what I can do.

Please see what you can do about the dyno pricing. My car in particular is going to have basically all the bolt ons possible when feb 3rd comes around. The thing is its still a bone stock ecu and has never been put on a dyno so we need a baseline before anything is done. I am deffinately wanting some roller time. Let me know when you figure out a cost from H&H. Have you asked them about just renting out the dyno for the day?? That may be cheaper if everyone goes with it....
