Who wants an AMS tune?
I'm interested in this also. I need to get mine tuned. Question, if i dont put in a deposit, can i just pay the day of the dyno day? I might possible have my daughter coming in from AR. So that is the only thing that is holding me back fromm setting anything in stone. Let me know something.

Trying to piece through 5 pages of vague details is difficult. Just trying to understand all that is going on. If someone could summarize the details in one post, that would be awesome.
I've been toying around with going to the next stage, which would be injectors, so I'm interested in a road or possibly a dyno tune...Still not sure if those are planned for this trip or not. So, what's the latestest information?
Feb 3rd
Location TBD? (Somewhere in NC or SC)?
Types of services offered?
I've seen hints of having it at a shop, but the cost would be extra for dynotime...
Its just hard to commit without having more detail. I also checked into AMSflash site and the only thing I can find is a tune in Orlando in December...
Can someone (Mark?) summarize?
Thanks!

ok here goes nothin...
tune date feb 3d
h and h performance in NC <--- they have all wheel drive dyno
they are offering custom dyno tunes, not sure about the ems tuning yet, waiting on mark for that one.
if you need anything installed, have it done before coming up, or, if you want to come up the day before and get a hotel room i dont mind helping you work on your car that night and the day of the tune if needed. they are not bringing any mechanics for installations, only a tuner, i believe chris or mark
ams tuning fees apply
we are still negotiating with the shop for how much to use the dyno per person... reason being, the dyno is in the ground, and is waiting on mustang to show up to finish the setup and teach the shop the ins and outs of the dyno itself. then the shop wants a couple weeks to work on their own cars to basically work out the kinks in the dyno before throwing a customer car on it. we should know soon how much they are going to want per person. im guessing 150, but dont know for sure.
mail in your deposit if you are serious about coming as soon as possible, in the remarks put NC tune 3 feb and im pretty sure they will know the wheres and who paid info

Here is where everything stands as of today (subject to change of course).
AMS (specfically Chris/Martin) are going to be traveling for tunes. With or without a dyno they can provide a BASE flash or a CUSTOM flash. Now, just a caveat to this...you DO NOT need a dyno to be tuned by AMS. They can do road tunes just as easily although they prefer Dyno logs to show them exactly what the car is doing. Difference of flashes is the CUSTOM is specfically designed for your car, your mods and your particular tastes. They have offered us two dates to choose from, January 20th or February 3rd. I myself prefer February 3rd as do a couple others. They will be here for AT LEAST one day, two days if there are enough customers. Cost is $180 for Base and $395 for custom. Deposits can be made at www.AMSflash.com. The request $100 for deposit to cement our date on their calendar. I would assume that the $100 is refundable up until the 3rd. If you want to add your name on the Flash list, please visit that website and in the remarks of the order tell them the date and location which I will provide below.
Now, about H&H Performance. This is a new shop in the Fayetteville, NC area. I myself and a few other members have talked to these guys in person at length and they are more than willing to set aside a full day for us to use their Mustang Dyno. The dyno is in the ground and nearly ready. They are awaiting the electricain from Mustang to come and finish the wiring. Then they will have someone from Mustang come to show them everything about the software and how it all works. The owners told me that late Jan would be the earliest they feel comfortable with doing customer dyno pulls. They want to be sure that they have all the bugs/kinks worked out before we shell out good money for dyno time.
On a side note...once again you DO NOT have to buy in for dyno time to get tuned. This is going to be extra money out of pocket for us, but the more people we can get to commit to dyno, the cheaper it will be. AMS has absolutely no part in decisision to use the dyno but they will be more than happy to tune us on it. I look at it this way, if you pay the extra for dyno time you can be assured that the most horsepower/torque has been extracted from your vehicle while remaining safe for daily driveability all on pump gas. (I'm sure they will do race maps too)
My main concern is getting AMS down here to tune people. If a discounted dyno rate does not happen, so be it. Those of us who want it will pay for it.
