Everyone in the Tampa Bay Area, Brotherz Racing is setting up a ride out to this meet. We are going to be meeting at the shop at 1 p.m. Then we will be leaving the shop at 2 p.m. for Orlando. Please PM me or Brotherz Racing to let us know who is coming, or you can add yourself to the list on TR. We are trying to get a large group to head out.

 

It looks possibly that my temporary duty assignment for a year might have changed from Atlanta to Tampa (MacDill AFB). If this does happen I look forward to your meets. It's also nice to know that there are some awesome shops in Florida for my Evo needs.

Anyone in the bay area know of a good exhaust shop, in terms of welding ability & price? I just put a Greddy TiC cat-back on my Lancer and it wouldn't fit with my Progress sway bar. I didn't let this stop me from installing the cat-back but now I need some welding done for the exhaust to allow the sway bar to return. I'm also curious what you think it would cost roughly since I haven't needed anything welded in a long time and am low on cash with TiC+ headlights + RRM grill recently. It wouldn't be very much welding. I just need someone who knows what they are doing so I don't modify a nice exhaust and continue to have the same problem with my bar.

P.S. any upcoming meets? I missed out on the one at Proccolino's and would like to meet some more people who are as car-obsessed as myself.

Its thanksgiving weekend but I am going to try and make it out there.

But, I was wondering if any Tampa Evo owners go to Tampa Mitsu for their services. My next service will involve a change of my oil filter. I heard that some dealerships do not use Evo specific oil filters (part # MZ690116). Does Tampa Mitsu have the same problem?

 

I would just change your own oil. Its not that hard and takes minimal tools.
