He was recommended the hdss street disk. I am recommending the 6 puck with the XTSS pressure plate. Holds about 140 more ft/lbs and hp than the hdss, if I recall correctly. It's in excess of 600 tq.

The ACT clutch for the Evo 8 is available in three versions from TTP. The street disk- heavy duty will be great for most applications but if you are making over 450awhp and do really want to launch hard, the Extreme Pressure Plate version is for you as it has already been proven in other 9 second applications.
These kits will fit all versions of the Evo 8 including 5speed/6speed transmissions.
Included is a new throw out bearing an clutch alignment tool.
MB7-Heavy Duty 497ft/lbs $479
MB7-Extreme Duty 636ft/lbs $526
So you just tell him you want the MB7 with the ttp spec disc. I think it may be a little more but it's worth it imo.

HAHA, they still are not even close to the Exedy! But the TTP spec disc Im referring too is a huge improvement over the street disc.
Really nice cars by the way guys.

When I asked Scott about a recommendation for a clutch this is the same one he told me about. So I am looking at an ACT HDSS and a lightweight flywheel. The most I will add to my car is a set of cams. So definitely no more than 350 hp/350 tq. Does anyone recommend something else or should this be good for my future goals with the car? Also, how much would an install cost because that is definitely outside of my abilities with tools?

depends where it gets done, its about an 8 hr book install....so it goes to rates after that.... if you can drive to hickory, there is a guy there that can do it.... PM turbodawg and ask him if he is available still
432whp and 378torq
nice pics. and the silver one with the hood up is finall yout of the shop. they said it was shift linkage. i drove it home and it did fine. i didnt get a chance to open it up and check the 3d gear at around 5.5k because the wife was following me home and i didnt want to lose her. but it was nice driving again. still getting used to driving stick again. im such a newb. the stick isnt all sloppy or locked out like it was saturday. i still need to go back to h and h and get the parts that are floating around the shop. but its running.
