dude....this f-in vista shiz is pissin me off soooooo bad. I tried to load the .hex file in evoscan to see my latest rom to compare my log to. Now it won't load ANY .hex file at all. I can't load ANY .hex file in the lower part of the graph data screen. I'm gonna get a guy at work to wipe this pissant system off this computer and get xp on here....I'm f-in done with it.

Not to mention it saves logs in la la land. I have no clue where it's been putting logs. I have it setup to save in a specific folder I created...they are no where to be found. I'm glad there's not a hammer near by....

the trick with vista in this case is to save it to your desktop first, then copy it to where you want to save the .hex file. It works that way. Vista is great if you learn to work around the dumb parts.

My stuff WAS working fine. I downloaded service pack 1 for vista (already) and since then it won't work. We've un-installed/re-installed several times and it just won't work.

It's giving me a box that says "unhandled exception has occured in your application....." The top boxes in the maptracer screen only go up to 100 load cell. And it gives me the same error when you right click and try to load a rom into the lower boxes.

I'm just trying to figure out if this is vista f-ing with me or if i'm just screwing sh*t up.

yeah...let's do it. I was picking my brain trying to figure what I did different to the computer to make it work one day and not the next. I totally forgot I did the update of service pack 1. I'm not 100% that's it. But it's the ONLY thing I changed.

When we went to ecp, they were there working on cars, so we talked to Jeff the owner and he said he would check it out. He put it right into the shop to lock it up.

That was cool. Did you happen to get a cost for a clutch job?

I don't know if Andrew did, but he said he would check it out and let him know what "exactly" was jacked up. He didn't seem like he was gonna make him buy a new one....just what it was going to take to repair it plus labor.

Jeff said something about hooking me up with a "competition clutch" or something. He said thats the one they use on their cars. I want to keep my clutch, I just want them to repair it not replace it.

If I was you just have them repair that clutch. I have a Carbonetics clutch that Jeff installed and I'm not really a fan. I like EXEDY though, good sh*t. When you going by there, if my valve cover gasket comes in on monday I will be going down to ECP to have my Valve Cover drilled out so I can get bigger fitting put on for my catch can.
