Thanks man!! They look really good in person! I'll probably get the front bumper back on there tonight probably. I've done a few sets of Evo lights before so it's not too bad to work on them.

Have you purchased aftermarket HID's for your car yet? My brother has 6k's on his Supra that look pretty good (because a $40k car in 1994 didn't come with HID's stock!!). They are blue, but not too blue. I hate that crap when it's ridiculous blue. I don't think people realize they are losing light output.

The worst part is that I had to rattle can them. I wanted to use a HVLP gun, but didn't have the black paint. So I just took my time so the paint came out looking great.

I know!!! Its so hard to find one in this color for a decent price and condition. One guy had his BBY wing repainted and is willing to trade for the Rexspeed wing. Problem is is that he painted the entire wing. Even the CF parts ( I know the whole wing is CF). Looked clean, but I didn't like the way it looked.

And yeah I hate the way stock 8 lights look so that was one of the first things I wanted to do to the car. Now I just have to add black BBS wheels. I already blacked out the side blinkers. the JDM tails are already flat black so that will keep my theme going. Eventually I want to powdercoat the valve cover and the UICP black.

I'll look into it for you. Some people have good experiences with eBay. Some with vendors. It all depends on what you're looking for I suppose.

I was bored again tonight and wanted to fix the rock chips in the mesh grill (didn't get them all, but oh well) and decided to do this:

Just gotta give it a day or so to fully cure and I can wet sand it to a smooth finish.

Wow..taking the intake manifold off is a piece of work. Not terribly hard, but a ton of stuff to get out of the way. That lower bracket could be a pita to deal with, I just left it in place and am working around it. I got everything off, and then realized the alternator upper bracket is holding the IM in place. 2 bolts and it'll be off. I guess you can say the car will be down for a long while, while waiting on stuff to get back from porting.

Good luck man! Are you having the head built or what's the plan?

My next step is to have the head built. Although I might Shep rebuild the tranny first because it makes more sense for longevity purposes.

Yeah, head is most likely going to HeadGames for a full ferrea build and all machining. I didn't want to do the 1x1 method on the headstuds, so I figured while I replace the headgasket and do the studs the right way, I'll send off everything else to get ported too.

TB and IM going out tomorrow to PPI for porting and 65mm treatment. I already talked to Wayne so were set there. 2-3 day turn around with him.

Sounds good man. I don't know the price for Evo's, but my brother's Supra's head is built with Ferrea everything as well and it cost a pretty penny.

So how long do you think your Evo will be down?

It'll be down as long as it takes to get this stuff back. I have all the other parts, like power enterprises belts, head studs, and stuff like that. It'll only be down as long as the UPS man makes it.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that it all goes smoothly. It took like 4 months for the Supra's head to get built because of delays, mix ups and shipping errors.

It's really nice to see Evo owners helping other Evo owners.

Case in point; My intercooler pipe blew off on Sandridge about a mile or so away from my house. I had to pull off onto the side of the road because the car died. I thought it was my lucky day when I saw a silver Evo driving up towards me. I figured he's stop to help..... NOPE!! Just drove right by. I had to cal my neighbor to bring me some tools to fix it.

Anyone have any T-bolts I can buy? I need 2 for my UICP. My lower already has them. Apparently they don't sell them at Advance.

I don't have any spare T bolts laying around. I dropped off the IM and TB to UPS today at like 4:30. Via UPS ground, they said it will be delivered to PPI by Thursday. Now that's quick!
