Would you still recommend them for my cams? And with there warranty why did you not take it back to them? I forgot to ask you about that.
You know, we do cams too

True, George I might as well come to you since you have a lot of Evo experience also and I am there alot anyway.Would you be able to offer any kind of warranty as Balanced does?. I cant believe I left my BOV again. Anyway how did James springs turn out I am sure it looks sweet. I am still trying to decide which one to go with. I am unsure If I want my car to sit that low as with the S-Tech springs.Maybe I will go with the H-Tech. If I decide I will give you a call.
Thanks

Hey guys, the springs look great! It's super (and I mean super) low. I was kind of worried about rubbing or taking hard turns since you'll know I drive the thing like i stole it, but it handled extremely well and only rubbed a bit on really big bumps. It should be good for autocross when it starts up again. I'm not totally sure if I like the super low profile, but I am really picky and everyone that say it said it looks great. Too bad my clutch finally went totally out that night. I want to thank one of my sponsors Chix Performance for giving me the super hook up (he owed me a favor) and getting my Exedy twin plate clutch for $811.23. It's not who you are, but who you know a lot of times. I want to thank Andy and George at Boost Solutions for their great effort in trying and get me the clutch and for Todd for offering to use his till we could get him a new one. Hopefully the car should be up and running in teh next couple of days and I can give you the low down on the clutch and a better one on the springs.

Did you trim any of the bump stops when they were installed b/c that might be why they are rubbing. I just sold my brand new Tein springs for $150 shipped but of course the person who bought them lives in SoCal and so it costs me $25 to ship them. Oh well, my Tein basic damper coilovers go on this Saturday at Boost Solutions and I can't wait.

Hey Ryno,
Not really sure since Boost Solutions did mine and I wasn't watching. It's fine everywhere, but I have a bridge on my road that has big bumps and it's only there. How can I check to see if they've been trimmed? Good job on getting the Basics! Also, we missed you on Saturday, hope to see you next time.

Okay I am back I know I know 10 usernames, I talked with Mark and told him the name Dynoking was gay lol. Anyway does anyone have a REAL copy of the evo workshop manual? If not I am going to buy one because it has the ECU wire diagram in it and I just like having something like this when I work on my car.

Thanks
Ryan

Also I would like to see other evo's besides mine at the road atlanta event. If you need help or have any questions let me know and I can help getting the car prepped and stuff.

I'll be there for sure. My mom has a BMW so I am going to see if I can become a member and save a little $$$. I will hopefully have cams, fmic, and a computer by then. I also might see if I can pick up a set of cheap wheels to throw some Hoosiers on for the track. I can't wait to own all the bimmers at the track.

I don't know if you can look under the fender and tell, you might just ask George to see if he did it. I don't think its that big of deal if it wasn't done but I remember reading in the suspension forum how some people with the Tein springs were bottoming out on hard bumps and the cure was to trim a little of the bump stops.

Hell I owned them all stock I think I would do a radiator before I did a intercooler. Also you need to become a member of the BMWCCA even if you have a BMW I think its $35 a year or so. I also have a extra set of wheels for the track but I am going to run the stock tires a few more times until I learn this car better. If you go out with slicks for your 1st time is not a smart move because they do not squeal like street tires they just break lose. Also what computer are you looking at?

I dont want to waste all the tread on my Advans at the track and I need them for daily driving. I have had Hoosiers and Victoracers on previous cars so I have an idea how they behave but not on the evo. The evo is pretty predicatable just don't let off the throttle in the turn or you will spin out. I want to get a radiator down the road but I don't think it's necessary before fmic. I want to get the Buschur fmic and it is supposed to allow more airflow to the radiator than stock. I am keeping my options open for a computer and probably won't be getting one for another month or so. I am looking into the utec by turboXS for the evo when it comes out. I had it on my wrx and I was very pleased.

The utec is nice, I know people are going to give me hell but also look at the Vishnu deal. If you want you can check out my car with it and NO I did not get a deal on it I paid $895 like everyone else I am just pleased with the product.
