So true. Guess there aren't enough nude ebay photos in here for Sleeper3.

I got my car tuned by Jestr (http://www.jestrtuning.com/) when he came through NC last time. Actual dyno info here: http://www.taylorsimports.com/chassisdyno.htm. I think Noah also got a tune off from Jestr, although that may have been a few hundred hp ago. I would be interested in hearing what he thought of Jestr versus the other tuners that he's had experience with.

As for weekend plans - I will be on the track both Friday and Saturday. If anyone wants to swing by to see my horrible driving, just pm me. The driver's lounge has wifi.

Got my hks cat-back on it sounds brutal, i ordered it on wednesday and got it friday not sure how that works but im happy about it

Great chance im going to show up at the AutoX this weekend, just to watch though i wanna get a feel for how things are at one, like i said im not going to start competing untill this summer or next season, after i get some advan A048 and other things + setup funds for it.

Noah what color are you going with for powder coating? if they turn out good i may use the same people you did, though i read forged wheels need to be coated at lower temps or it can weaken the wheel. so if they do low temp i think under 400F im going to look into, black on GG with look sick.

Yea so after 30k miles on my evo i need new tires, yes thats not a typo 30k on stockers... They would have lasted longer but i didnt get them roatated last 2 services . but ya i priced the stock A046's which i really like even though people dis them, i see why now they cost $290 ish each but i think im going to get them again i really like them and i know there performance peaks very well.

http://www.taylorsimports.com/chassisdyno.htm <- thanks im going to check them out

Dude, get the Bridgestone RE-01R, it has just as much dry grip and costs much less. In 245/45R17 size they are only $156 per tire from Tire Rack!

They are rather similar in spec's the RE-01R "looks" to have a better contact patch apose to the A046, but the A046's according to the UTQG "which is never 100% accurate" are a bit more stickey + have tad less movement under high entry speed

Ahh well like i said im going to be shopping for new tires so i will definitely look into this tire you recommend as i seem to have over looked them. And you said $156 each i did not see that, i saw them for $190... i'm not really worried about cost as i always go by you get what you pay for theory but these tires are definitely worth checking out based on similar spec's compared too the ladder.

Thanks man i will check these out better before i make my purchase.

WERD.

I honestly like the stockers, but I have heard over and over that the RE-01R's are just as nice, if not nicer. Also, if you aren't tracking it tons, check out the 615's. Cheap and pretty darn good.

Sleeper3 got a few questions...

1: How often does the CCR chapter of SCCA hold novice classes & course walks?

2: If i were to register for the novice class this weekend would i be able to do the in-car instruction sessions with almost bald tires? "As i dont think i will have new ones on by then, but i may"

3: Can the $60 fee be paid with cash?

4: What kind of food will they have for lunch?

5: Do you think i should hold off on going untill i get tires/alignment/brakes, or should i just wing it to get a novice class under my belt?

And who did i see today at the Arbo around 3pm in a Red IX i belive with TBE?

1. Novice classes are held only once a year
2. They will definitely let you run with near bald tires
3. Yup, cash is actually preferred
4. Last year it was food catered by Backyard Burgers
5. You can start in the novice class to get important experience, then get the mods and improve

I'll be instructing on Saturday and will also be there on Sunday. You should definitely show up. Make sure you register online so they know how many drivers to expect both days.

Here's a few of the other cars from this past weekend. I could use another evo or two around...
